the silence turning into a cacophony of voices in a second,
that's what's special about us,
we worked hard but we played even harder.us laughing until our lungs run out of air,
lying on the ground, faces turned red,
stuck on that high.us shouting at each other,
throwing insults and pointing fingers,
yet smiling with each word said.me being able to walk anywhere,
knowing that i'm safe from judgement,
finding solace in your presence.your straightforwardness, your candour,
which i appreciate and admire,
makes me trust you more,
and anchors me down.the friendships we forged,
really, the dynamics are one of a kind.
we didn't shun each other out but supported each other.if you will, we became a chaotic family.
you created a space for me,
where i could wake up knowing that today would be a better day,
where i could find myself in this blur,
where i could be myself without fear.i never knew such a utopia could exist.
for i looked at a list of foreign names a while back,
thinking that i would never understand each one.but here i am.
i didn't expect to be this attached,
lest to find such precious people,
within such a short span of time.i never thought that i would say this,
but what we have is special,
and i'll miss all of you.
a lot.i want to relieve the days we spent together,
when the day that i would have to leave this all behind seemed so far.
the times where i took things for granted and fooled myself that,
i would stay in this euphoric state.i'll remember writing:
the curve of every letter,
the boldness of every word,
and the story that we created together.things end. it's inevitable.
as we finish reading this chapter,
let's keep these memories forever.signing off, class of 2020
