Y/N woke up in the morning, gently rubbing her eyes. She noticed that she was wrapped in a black and white striped jacket. She glanced at the demon who was asleep and smiled a bit. It was nice to finally have a friend. She slipped her arms into the sleeves of the jacket and gently kissed the snoring poltergeist's cheek. The girl slowly got up, trying not to wake Beetlejuice. She felt herself being pulled back into bed. "Where you goin'..?" She heard the demon say in his groggy morning voice. Chills ran down Y/N's spine and she blushed. She turned around to face him, giggling softly. "I was going to the attic.."
"Why?" He said, still seeming sleepy. The poltergeist blinked and yawned.
"I wanted to thank the Maitlands." The girl said in a soft voice.
"Okay.." Beetlejuice said. He rubbed his eyes and looked at the young woman, finally fully awake. "Your jacket look comfortable.." He murmured, chuckling softly.
"Thanks, it's yours." She said with a giggle as she gently poked his nose and got up, walking out of her room and going up into the attic. She knocked on the door before opening it. "Hello..?"
Barbara looked over at the door. "Oh- hello!" She smiled sweetly, walking over to the girl and welcoming her into the attic, closing the door behind her. "How're you feeling, sweetie?" She asked.
"Fine, thank you.." The young woman smiled slightly. "I'm Y/N.."
Adam walked over and stood beside his wife. "I'm Adam." He smiled.
"And I'm Barbara.. we used to live here." The blonde said. "Well, we still do live here. But we lived here when we were alive."
Y/N nodded. "I just came to say thank you.. you know for, uh.." She looked down.
"Oh, honey, there's no need to thank us." Barbara said. "Is it okay if I hug you?" She asked, not wanting to hurt the girl in any way.
The girl nodded and Barbara gently hugged her before Adam joined in with the hug. Y/N looked at them both with a smile. "Thank you, again.."
Barbara smiled brightly, pulling away from the hug, Adam doing the same. "It's no problem!" She said cheerfully. "Beetlejuice hasn't been causing you any trouble has he..?"
The young woman shook her head. "No, he's been very sweet actually."
Adam and Barbara looked at each other before looking back at Y/N. "That's a first." Adam said, his hands in his pants pockets.
Barbara furrowed her eyebrows. "Yeah.."
"Speaking of.. I left him downstairs alone." Y/N said. "I'll see you guys later. Thank you again." She smiled at them before leaving the attic.
Once Y/N had left, Barbara turned to Adam. "Beetlejuice?? Sweet??" She whispered.
"I know, that's what I was thinking. Do you think he's up to something?" Adam said in a hushed voice.
"Maybe.." His wife said, folding her arms. "You never know, with him. He's deceitful."
"I know.. but she was wearing his jacket. I've never seen him with out his jacket off and I doubt he just decided to randomly take it off because 'why not?' He gave it to her to wear.." He said.
Barbara sighed. "Yeah, I saw that. It's so odd, I can't imagine he'd ever take his jacket off, never mind just give it to someone to wear.."
Y/N opened the door to her bedroom, seeing the demon had fallen back to sleep. She quietly opened her closet and looked through her clothes before grabbing a pair of sweat pants and a t-shirt. She took off Beetlejuice's jacket and the rest of her clothes, quickly changing and putting the jacket back on. The girl looked over at the poltergeist, who was still asleep. She went and got on the bed, gently shaking his. "Beetle.." She whispered. "Wake up, come on.." She said.
Beetlejuice grumbled as he began to wake up. "I'm awake.." He said rubbing his eyes and sitting up.
"Good morning.." Y/N giggled softly and smiled at him.
The demon smiled a bit at her and he yawned, leaning his back against the headboard of the bed. "How ya feelin'..?" He asked.
"Good.." The girl said in a soft tone as she shuffled over beside him, laying her head on his chest, looking up at him.
The poltergeist looked down at her, admiring her features for a while. His eyes scanned her face, a small smile appearing on his lips.
Y/N watched his emerald green eyes examine her and she felt the heat rise to her face. "What's that smile for?" She asked.
Beetlejuice made eye contact with the girl before he glanced away. "Nothin'.."
Y/N furrowed her eyebrows. "Okay.." She said, getting up. "I'm hungry.. you want anything to eat?" She asked him.
The demon looked at her and rested his hands behind his head. "Sure."
The girl smiled. "I hope you like pancakes." She said, reaching her hand out towards Beetlejuice for him to take it.
He gently took her hand, realising how small it was compared to his. He stood up before Y/N quickly dragged him downstairs into the kitchen, giggling.
She released his hand and began rummaging through the cabinets for the ingredients. She place them on the counter.
The poltergeist sat on the counter and watched as she started putting the ingredients into the bowl, mixing them together.
She poured the mixture into a frying pan and switched on the stove, grabbing two plates and putting them on the counter. "Do you wanna help me flip the pancake?" She asked, picking up the spatula.
The demon nodded with a smile, sliding off of the counter.
Y/N put the spatula into his hand and looked at the pancake, waiting for it to be ready to flip, Beetlejuice beside her. She gently grabbed his hand and guided it so he could flip the pancake.
He flipped it over and glanced over at the girl who was smiling up at him. He chuckled at her.
She giggled and once the pancake was cooked, she slid it onto a plate, repeating the process with the rest of the mixture. The girl picked up the plates and carried them to the table before going back to open a cabinet, taking out some syrup.
Beetlejuice watched her before sitting at the table.
Y/N soon joined him at the table, putting syrup over her pancake. "Do you want some?" She asked, holding the syrup out towards him.
Beetlejuice's POV:
I took the syrup from her with a slight smile. God/Satan, she was so beautiful. I felt my cheeks flush as I watched her smile at me. I swear, if I was alive, my heart would've been throbbing.
