Keira's POV

The brief meeting with my boss and his daughter was tense. I had no idea why I couldn't focus on Mr. Kendrick's conversation whenever he was talking with me.

I was distracted by his daughter instead. It wasn't that I had never seen a girl before, but why would I be nervous whenever her eyes were on me.

Perhaps she was my boss's daughter, so she had intimidated me?

Aside from that, I had to admit she was an extraordinarily beautiful girl, especially with a cheery smile that radiated on her sweet face like an angel.

Was it weird I would think of a girl like that?

I did admire the pretty girls whenever they were dressing in their nice clothes. Trust me, even a straight girl would do that. Fine, it was Sunday, I should take a rest and stop overthinking.

After I loaded the groceries I had bought into my kitchen cabinets, I put a box of pizza and a bottle of red wine on my coffee table in the living room, I plopped on the three-seat cushion to take a rest before getting a shower and enjoying my evening before calling it a night.

I was distracted by the show I was watching on the TV and I didn't even know what the main story was about. Instead, the main actress was a blonde girl with a bright smile that reminded me of Ophelia a lot.

That girl was exactly looked like Ophelia whenever she giggled, talked, and played silly faces. In the meantime, I blinked my eyes once again and I shook my head in disbelief. The main actress on the tv wasn't a blonde girl, but she was a mid 30 woman with dark hair.

What the hell was that all about?

I shook my head and rubbed my eyes once again before looking at the TV and the fact there had no blonde girl in that show. The lid of my eyes was getting heavy as I felt my throat was getting dried after too much red wine.

I lazily looked around my coffee table to see if I had put a bottle of drinking water on it. To my luck, I never spare a drinking bottle but only with an empty box of pizza and a bottle of wine which only left a few drops of wine.

I didn't even realize I had almost finished one bottle alone. That was insane. Most of the time I would only take one or two glasses and stopped but this time I seemed on autopilot and didn't even realize what I was doing.

Was that a symptom of an early 30 woman's issue? Everything was on autopilot and numbness.

I slowly stood up and decided to take a glass of drinking water to clean up the thick alcohol in my mouth. I returned to the couch and switched to a channel which was 'Cloudy of the meatball chance 2'.

Great! That was one of my favorite animated movies all the time. I couldn't help but laugh at the scene I always laugh about. The man in the chicken costume was still the funniest thing I had ever seen in that movie.

I frowned when I felt a weight on top of my body, I pry that stuff and groaned, "Get off." Somehow, it seemed like no movement as I said in annoyance, "I said get off. Don't ever let me repeat this again."

"Oh, is that how you greet your guest?" I heard a familiar sweet voice with a giggle as I snapped my eyes open I was shocked. I had no idea how many times I got this heart attack from the same person I had seen just now.

"Ophelia?" I asked curiously and I was getting confused that how she got into my house and my heart was throbbing in my chest. Breathe.

My heartbeat skip a beat and my throat hitched when Ophelia pressed a finger on my lips and pursed her adorable lips, "You're unhappy that I'm here, aren't you?"
