The day had come, Grace stared at the outfits she had laid out on her bed. One was her merch hoodie, and the other was Dream’s. She sighed as she put on her Dream smile hoodie, she knew he would call her a simp but she wanted to show some support for her friend. She walked into her guest room and remade the bed with clean sheets, moved to random things that had magically appeared in there, and plugged in a new air freshener. No one ever came to visit her so Grace had no clue what she should be doing to prepare. In the midst of all her stressing, her phone alarm went off reminding her to go pick up Dream. She ran to the door, put on her favorite pair of vans, and got in her car. “Remember Grace, his name is Clay, don’t embarrass yourself and act like a fan,” she started the engine and drove off.

Grace sat in the waiting area. She watched families and friends being reunited, the feeling of excitement filled the air. She didn’t know whether to stare at the hallway where passengers were coming out or act cool and play on her phone.

Dream: Just landed, see you soon!

Grace kept trying to take deep breaths to calm herself down, she had no clue why she was so nervous but clearly it was visible.

“Ma’am, are you alright?” The woman next to her asked.

“Oh yes, thank you. I’m meeting my friend in person for the first time and I’m uh a bit nervous,” Grace responded.

“Just a friend huh? I’m sure everything will be fine,” the woman looked up to see the person she was waiting for arrive, “You’ve got this,” she got up and left.

Grace ran her hands through her hair and looked at the floor, she couldn’t let her nerves get the better of her. She felt a tap on her shoulder.

“Nice hoodie,” she looked up to see Clay smiling down at her.

“Oh my Dre- I mean Clay, hi!” She stood up and gave him a hug. She noticed that he was wearing her merch hoodie as well, “nice hoodie to you too”.

He broke away from the hug and looked down at it, “this old thing? I didn’t even notice I had put it on”.

The two of them walked through the airport to where Grace had parked. They talked about Clay’s plane ride, their favorite snacks, and of course Minecraft.

“Come on, the Wither is the worst boss,” Grace complained.

“No, there are THREE elder guardians that you have to fight, they give you mining fatigue, and the entire fight is underwater,” Clay shot back.

“Make a conduit, place it at the top of the monument. It will give you water breathing, night vision, and it will kill the elder guardian at the top. The Wither can fly, give you wither, and is super destructive. Not only that but you have to work so hard to be able to even summon it!” She watched her friend’s facial expressions, waiting for a response.

“Well, you suck at Parkour,” Clay rolled his eyes.

They reached Grace’s car, “alright get in loser”.

“We better not be going shopping,” he climbed in and buckled in.

“Nah, we’re going back to my house, I’ve reached my one outing a day limit,” she started the car and drove back home. Clay sat on his phone the entire ride back, they both were clearly nervous around each other. Grace turned on the radio and began singing along, forgetting there was someone else in the car with her.

“Ok Sapnap, pop off,” Clay laughed.

Grace’s face went red, “s-shut up, we’re almost home”.

They pulled into her driveway, “here, I’ll get your suitcase for you,” Grace laughed and popped her trunk.

“No, I can get it myself,” they raced each other to the trunk, Clay won and proudly carried his things to the door.
