Germany: What do you mean republic?! What the hell did you do, Berlin?

Berlin: Well...

Time for a flashback! I knew that was missing one of these. Today we take our flashback to Berlin two days before this happened. At that time, Berlin was on fire, everywhere there were people running in panic trying to reach their homes or find a refuge, meanwhile, the other half of the city was participating in the revolution that had finally started, red flags they waved along the streets of the imperial capital and the shouts demanding a revolution became more and more notorious.

However, the part we are going to focus on is somewhere else, inside a building, to be more exact, Berlin was together with another man, running through the Reichstag building at full speed, doing their best to reach the front part to win a race against time

Berlin: We have to hurry, Herr Ebert!

Friedrich Ebert: I don't have the strange abilities that you have, I'm at my energy limit

Berlin: This is no strange ability...but I guess I can get ahead of myself!

Friedrich: Do it, stop the social revolution!

Berlin: Got it!—He started running faster—Wow, how did we let this get out of control?

Berlin kept running until his gaze lit up, he could literally see the light, the exit was right in front of him, he sped up a little more, ready to leave that place, and ended up jumping from the door to the square outside, he prepared his lungs...and screamed as loud as he could

Berlin: STOP EVERYTHING NOW!

His shout was able to be heard by all the people there, so for a few seconds, the crowd was silent; Berlin smiled and looked back, Friedrich Elbert was coming after him, and he was going to consolidate things. His work there was done.

Germany had an expression of fury and surprise while listening to the story of Berlin, who was being as careful as he could, knowing that at any moment Germany was going to yell at him in the case he didn't hit him, so when he finally finished recounting the events, he felt an incredible calm in his chest, now he only had to wait for the reaction of his country.

Germany: I really can't believe it, I never thought you would be able to do something like that

Berlin: Hey, sorry, I warned you!

Germany: But knowing you—he looked at Berlin from the corner of his eye—It's very difficult to take your warnings seriously

Berlin: Hey!—He sighed—Anyway, I did it... and what had to happen happened...we lost the war, Deutschland

Germany: As if I didn't know—he clenched his fist—Damn you, Frankreich...now more than ever I detest your presence in this world. As my father said, everything would be better if you had never existed!

Berlin: Ah, I see that you are upset! Sure, after all a girl defeated you and not just any girl! THE girl who has tormented you, your father, your brother, your sister once even!

Germany: Why don't you shut up for once? You are not contributing anything to this conversation

Before Berlin could respond, the German representatives had stepped out of the wagon, ready to undertake the humiliating march back to the fatherland, a march that Germany and Berlin would also have to undertake, the pair looked at the group, there were no words, but a mutual understanding that it was over, that they had been defeated and there was nothing to do about it, a gloomy atmosphere covered the group as they began to walk out of the forest.

However, the atmosphere was not better on the other side, France and United Kingdom had decided to take a different route to go out into the forest, they both knew that the victory was theirs, but the thought of so much blood spilled, the lives lost only to gain some feet of dirt and the simple memory of being stuck in a trench full of mud, blood, disease and countless other undesirable things haunted them.
