Chapter 6

Lissa's POV

I wake up to breakfast already made for me on my counter.  There's a not next to the waffles and fruit.

Lissa.  Hope to see you at the show tonight.  Have a great day at work and we are always here for you.

Of course there's no Luke.  He's probably off with some girl somewhere.  I hop in the shower and then look at the clock.  11:15.  I need to be at SR in 45 minutes.  I throw on a pair of black skinny jeans, black vans, and a black and red flannel with an undershirt.  I put my hair into a messy bun and then do my makeup.  11:35.  I go out to my car and drive through the city to the SR parking lot.  The guys gig isn't until 8 tonight so I have to work my shift and then stick around for the show.  I walk in and clock in.  I walk over to the register and am greeted by the lady who held my interview.  

"Glad you showed."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Just based on your personality I had a doubt you would come."

"Wow thanks."

"Anytime.  You'll be stocking the shelves.  You don't get to work register yet.  I don't trust you as an employee yet."

"Then why did you hire me?"

"You seemed desperate."

"I am."

"Then get to work."  

The next eight hours flew by.  Stocking Nirvana, Blink-182, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Bring Me the Horizon cds wasn't that bad.  I got 20 minutes for lunch which was enjoyable.  The guys should be here any second to set up for their gig.  There is a stage already in here they would just need instruments and well their voices.  I've never heard them perform and I kinda think they'll sound like an Aussie One Direction.  The bell at the door rings and Ash walks in carrying drums.

"Hey Lissa can you help us get some stuff from the truck?"

"Yeah sure."  I head out to the truck and grab two guitar cases from Calum who stares at me blankly.  I take the guitars to the stage and then Calum and Michael bring the rest of the stuff in.  There's one missing.

"Where's Luke?"

"He took Charlotte on a date.  I think she is gonna come by with him.  None of us like her."  Calum replies pointing to the other guys.

"Yeah she's like a more badass, rude, and fake version of you."  Ash adds.  

"I can't wait to meet her."  I say shining a fake smile the guys' way.  I help them set up their mics and stands and look at the clock.  8:45.  

"What time is your guys' gig?"

"9:00.  Luke needs to get his ass here."  The next moment Luke and his believed girlfriend Charlotte walk in.  She is tall, brunette, and has a tattoo on her collarbone that reads destroy yourself and see who gives a fuck.  She doesn't seem like Luke's type at all.  

"Luke."  I say.

"Lissa.  This is my girlfriend Charlotte."

"Nice to meet you Char..."

"Save it.  I've heard of girls like you.  You sleep around, drink, smoke, do all that shit.  But when it comes to coming face to face with a real badass you're just a coward little bitch." 

"Where did all that come from?"

"Nowhere.  You just remind me of girls I have previous encounters with."
