"She fell off the bleachers and took the entire row with her" Jamie finishes his story and I burst into laughter. The elevator doors open to my floor and we walk down the hallway to my apartment.

Jamie is my new coeditor for the magazine. I told them I didn't need one but then the workload got too big and we ended up hiring one. Jamie is nice. He's sweet and he makes me laugh. I find myself hanging out with him after work longer than I should and drinking with him and Andrea on the weekends.

Chris hangs out more with his LA friends anyway and the apartment starts to feel lonely so I decided to hang with my friends more just to have something to do.

Jamie has been the main friend I hang out with besides Andrea and the girls. We've hung out nearly every day since he started here. He gets me in a way that makes our friendship unique. From the time that he started two months ago he's become one of my best friends.

When we get into the apartment I set my things down on the table next to the door. "Make yourself comfortable, I'll get us some drinks." I instruct Jamie. He takes no time to take his jacket off and kick back on the couch.

I go to the kitchen and make us mojitos with the stuff I find in the fridge. Jamie talks to me about his family as I do. When I'm finished I joined him on the couch and we drink and talk. "How long have you lived here?" He asks.

"I've lived in LA for about 2 years now. I had this perfect little apartment in the city that was right next to a bakery and it had this window that I loved to read in. It was gorgeous." I tell him.

He laughs. "I'm guessing this isn't the apartment based on its lack of windows."

I laugh. "No this isn't it, this is Chris's apartment." I tell him.

I've been living in Chris's apartment for a month and I still haven't unpacked all my things. Most of them I put into storage or sold but the rest is here still in boxes. Im trying hard to move in and be comfortable but I'm not. I liked having my own space to go whenever I needed quiet time but now I'm here in Chris's apartment trying to force myself to be comfortable. I wanted to move in but further down the road but every time I looked at him I could see him pleading for me to move in. So I did, now I have to get comfortable.

It's not like I don't like Chris's apartment, it's just so boyish and plain. It needs a woman's touch. There's barely any windows. There's a balcony and a window in both the bedrooms looking out onto the street but that's it. There were no curtains on any window so people can just look inside if they wanted to, that was the first thing on the agenda when I moved in.

"Ah the infamous Chris." Jamie says. "Why haven't I met him?" He asks.

I shrug gulping down the rest of my drink. "You just keep missing him." I say.

Jamie finishes his drink and I go to the kitchen to make us another. Jamie comes into the kitchen with me while I make them. "We've hung out nearly everyday since I got here and I've never even seen this guy." Jamie points out.

I shrug again feeling a little exposed. "He's just busy I guess." I tell him.

"If you were my girl I'd never leave your side." Jamie says. His words send goosebumps up my arms. "His girl" I like the way he says it. No. No! I shouldn't like the way he called me his girl. I'm already with someone, Chris, who I love.

I finish mixing the drums and hand him his. We drink and stare at each other for a while and I fidget under his gaze. I'd never noticed how sharp Jamie's jaw is. Or how green his eyes are.

He takes a sip from his drink and it's nearly half gone. When he's finished he licks his lips and my eyes longer on them a bit too long. "Wanna give me the tour?" He asks with a Colgate smile.
