Music In the Night

Reveal? No...

A hiss escaped from Sapphire as the Dexters raced into a battle with Witch-hazel cackling. She seemed delighted to see the already wounded Dexters charging as she swept half of them. Ruby dodged the attack and continued. Red and Blake shot glares at one another before pulling something out. Emerald hissed something at them. Black noted the sudden change in the trio as they dodged another blast. Sapphire pulled out her Tropius and fired a large SolarBeam. While it hardly worked with the witch's magic, it was a great attempt. Red cursed under his breath.

"Not waiting on you two."

He pulled out a familiar object and pulled back. Emerald hissed as he did. Red aimed the gun he had pulled and his eyes shifted from his bright red ones to a duet of a lighter and darker reds. He took a steady breath before firing. A barrier stopped it just as it reached her. If it wasn't for the barrier, she would've been dead. He cursed before catching up to the others. Blake chuckled.

"Nice one." Red hissed.

"You try, water head." Blake rolled his eyes as Emerald pulled his scooter to a stop. While it was surprising that he did, it was shocking of his next move. He pulled out a green pen and aimed at the spot that the bullet was.

"DIGITAL KINGDOM... LUMINARY!"

A green streak of light raced forward and slammed into the bullet's location. While it didn't break through, it left a crack. Blake laughed.

"The dynamic duo can't break through their specialty. How sad." Red hissed as Emerald caught up to them. He scoffed. "Watch and learn from a pro."

"We're older than you, Blake. Watch what you say." He laughed before skidding to a stop. He tapped the ground and a blue light circled him. With quick motions, he was casting.

"Father Wave! Aid my battle by sending the dangers of the seas and fire them at my target!"

The light turned into a circle of water as he fired.

"BERMUDA TRIANGLE ORCHESTRA!"

The water raced at the witch and crashed into her. He raced forward as they watched the smoke clear. The laugh of the witch said enough as Red scoffed.

"Watch and learn from a pro. Remember that when you die, Blake."

"I'm not listening to you."

"Guys..." Gold hummed as he eyed the trio.

"What are you three hiding?"

"Blake did it."

"Did not!" Ruby eyed the conversation as he drifted ahead of the group. No one even noticed.

"Spill the tea, guys. What are you hiding?" Blake scoffed.

"Red's gotta-" He yelped as Red elbowed him.

"You say, I say." Blake fell silent at that. Emerald giggled.

"Same here, Blake, don't you try."

"Unlike you two, I don't show off." Red hissed.

"I know where you're going with that. Go further with that, and your head's mine."

"That just proves my point further." Emerald rolled his eyes as they jumped out of the way of the witch's blast.

"Unlikely."

"Emerald..."

"I have a chance here, Red. Hush." Red mumbled something under his breath as they avoided another blast.

"You three can't hide forever."

"Blake can." The duo spoke while Blake laughed. The witch charged a large blast. Yellow gulped.

"I don't think this'll be easy with the size of that."

"A knife would be great here. Just tear through her defenses."

"What about yours, Yellow?"

"No affect. And don't say Silver's cause he just revokes more barriers."

"Darn..." A screech which caused Red to grab his ears filled the air.

"Ow! What the hell!?"

"Look!" They looked to see the witch disappearing and Ruby jumping away. He stretched a little before turning and running over to them. While it was unclear what had happened, it was obvious who it was.

"Last one to the base has to get the trio talking!" Ruby, Whitley and Blake were gone at that point while everyone else started complaining. Red sighed as they took off. Moon laughed as she started walking. Red and Emerald's faces went pale at that. They glanced at each other with one question.

"What did Ruby do?

And done!
