Saturday Evening...
It's finally the night of the homecoming! Me and the guys in my group are gathered in my room, getting ready.
"Thanks again for having all of us over here, Alexandria. You sure it's not weird getting ready with a bunch of guys." Caleb says.
"It's fine. Maria wanted to get ready with the girls." I say.
"So, Alexandria, not to be rude, but how the heck did you convince Maria to go out with you?" Aiden questions.
Surprised Luis speaks "Aiden, you can't just get away with asking rude questions bu prefacing the with 'not to be rude'!"
"Come on, Luis, we're all wondering it." Luis grins.
"It's okay" I add "but I'm not really sure what to tell you. Maria and I are still figuring things out. I like her a lot, and she clearly likes me, but I'm not sure either of us have time for a relationship." I add.
"You're gonna let something like that stop you from finding love?" Michael questions.
"I'm not in any rush, Michael. I've got my whole life ahead of me." I then grin "And, like I said, we're still figuring it out."
My dad opens the door and pokes his head in. "Sorry to interrupt, but I just got a call from Mr. Flores, and apparently the girls are on their way, so you'd better finish getting ready."
"Is there a bathroom I could change in?" Luis asks.
"Sure, right this way." My dad adds leading Luis towards the bathroom.
A few minutes later...
"Okay, who's next?" Luis says walking in.
"I'll go" Michael says getting up.
"Nice suit, Luis" I say.
"Thanks. I don't usually dress up really, especially because I'm going stag, but I thought, you never know, there might--" he grinned then paused. "Never mind."
"Whatever you say, Luis." I add.
Michael appears at the door. "Okay, bathroom's free."
"I guess I'll go next." Aiden adds.
Caleb grins "Michael I must say, I never thought I'd live to see you dressed up like this."
"I figured, well, I'm going, so I might as well do it right. Even if I am flying solo tonight." he smiles "I tried to get Morgan to come as my date, but she wasn't too keen on the idea."
"Yeah and I know you weren't either. But, for what it's worth. I think I speak for all of us when I say we're glad to have you along." I say.
"Your turn, Caleb" Aiden says walking in.
"Be back in a minute." Caleb says.
Luis looks sternly at Aiden "Aiden, I'm warning you, Myra's like a sister to me. If you do anything to hurt her--"
"Relax, Luis. We're just going as friends." He then breaks into a grin "And, frankly, I'm more scared of her than I am of you." Aiden says.
Luis grins "As you should be."
"Okay, I'm back" Caleb says.
"That suit looks great on you, Caleb." I say grinning.
"Thanks. Zoe always hated blue suits, so this is my small form of rebellion" He grins back at me. "Now hurry up and get changed, Alexandria. The rest of the girls are gonna be here any minute!"
"Okay, everyone, prepare to be wowed." I add laughing.
I have my brown hair straightened to my chest with a silver clip in the back clipping half up. I wear a emerald green dress with silver diamantes and sequins over the torso and a clear mesh up to the neck. I walk back into my bedroom. "Ta-da!"
