Michelle sat, coffee mug in her hand, as she waited for Emily to meet her in The Next Steep.

After giving the offer, Michelle knew that Emily would need some time to think it over - she had put so much dedication into the studio that leaving that behind would be a challenge.Michelle empathised, remembering how hard it was for her to leave The Next Step after Regionals, and how hard it was for Emily to let go of her.

Taking another sip of her Matcha tea, Michelle looked over to the entrance of The Next Steep to check if Emily had arrived yet, instead seeing the one person she hadn't spoken to since leaving earlier in the year.

"John?" Michelle asked putting her mug on the table as John looked over after hearing his name being called. Realising who had called out his name, John headed in the direction of Michelle's table.

"How are you?" Michelle inquired standing up to hug John.

"I'm fine," John replied pulling away from the blonde before taking a seat across from her's. "What are you doing back?"

John wasn't sure where the two of them stood. They were dating once upon a time, but they hadn't spoken about it for a while - plus, Michelle didn't both to call or text him while she was gone.

"I came to talk to Emily."

John nodded slowly. Of course she was back for Emily, not for him. She and Michelle had always been close, so it was understandable for her to be the reason for Michelle's return.

"I've got an offer for her."

John couldn't help himself, he had to know more. "What's the offer?"

"Um," Michelle looked down at her tea, deciding to take another sip of the now luke-warm drink before replying. "I've decided to start up a touring company, and I want Emily to run it with me."

"Wow," John said. "Congratulations."

"Thank you," Michelle said before tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. "But she hasn't given me an answer yet, so I'm not sure whether the idea will take off."

"I'm sure she'll say yes," John promised her. "After all, you two lead The Next Step to Regionals victory together. You'll ace this touring thing."

Michelle nodded, glad to finally hear that someone was on board with the idea. "I'm hoping she feels the same way."

"Michelle!" Looking up Michelle saw the person she'd been waiting to arrive.

"Hey, Em."

"John," Emily said giving him a pointed look.

"Hi Emily," he replied before standing up to give the two women some space. "I've got band rehearsal, but we'll talk later Michelle."

"Oh, okay," Michelle said standing up to give the taller guy a hug. "Sorry for not calling," she whispered into his ear.

"That's okay," John told her before pulling away and leaving The Next Steep.

"What was that all about?" Emily asked as Michelle sat down at the table again.

"I think that was us starting over," Michelle said hopefully before turning back to the matter at hand.

"So this contract---"

"Needs some major changes, right?"

And Michelle smiled. She and Emily had gotten back into the rhythm of there old ways just through a few words.

Not only was she - hopefully - going to tour with Emily and getting their friendship back to what it once was, but she was also getting her relationship with John back on track.

Things were slowly coming together for Michelle and she couldn't be more excited about the prospects for her future.
