STARLIGHT // Son Goku x Esdeath ♤

Chapter 3, The Alarming Activity

It's a new day and the Jaegers were waiting for their captain in the meeting room where they gather every day. Goku then came in yawning wearing his black shirt still. His eyes were half-closed and his hair was a bit messy.

"Oh hey, guys. You're up early.." he yawned and they greeted him with a good morning. "So, Goku... ahem, did you guys do... anything last night?" Wave asked smugly.

"Huh.." it took him a while to register what Wave was asking. "Mmm, I don't think we did... I slept early". Wave was about to say something but got his head slapped by Kurome, "What are trying to do, baka?"

"Sheesh..."

"You guys got anything to eat?" Goku asked. "Goku-san, you're hungry already?" Run asked. "Yea" Goku replied. "I'll see what I can get you, please wait here" Run said before leaving the room.

Edeath later follow and announced their plans and what they were going to do that day. They were given a mission, to infiltrate a bandit fortress in the woods no later then tonight.

The sun went down and the moon came up, the Jaegers were already in position to attack. Except for Esdeath and Goku, they were sitting on the side by the hill. The saiyan didn't know why they were there he was a bit dissapointed that they had no action.

"So... do I get to be with them?" Goku asked, eagerly wanting to fight too. "In the following future. For now, we'll wait and watch them do their work from here, Goku".

The Jaegers then started doing their work without warning, slaughtering every bandit on sight. The place was set on fire and blood was spreading everywhere. The sudden activity made something in Goku twitch, it didn't feel right.

Goku stood up from his seat shaking a bit. "My love? What is it?" Esdeath asked rubbing his arm. "They're killing way too many people," Goku said before running away.

"Son-kun, wait!" Esdeath shouted as Goku flew to the battlefield.

He came closer and first spotted Kurome trying to attack a bandit. Without thinking he quickly land inbetween them. "Goku? What are you doing?!" Kurome question.

"That's enough, Kurome!"

"Out of the way!" she shouted as she jumped over him onto the bandit with her katana swinging, Goku didn't let this slide easily, he quickly grab her leg and threw her away from the bandit.

Kurome landed on her feet and was annoyed by the saiyan's doings. She started attacking him, throwing every swing. The two fought until Esdeath eventually came in, striking Goku in the stomach with her knee, causing him to be thrown away flying from the battlefield.

"Arghh..." he groaned in pain holding where the strike landed. "You shouldn't interrupt them, Goku" Esdeath walked to him, bending down to be at the same level as Goku.

"You are going to be apart of us afterall". He looked behind her to see them done with their job, the fortress behind was lit with fire and there's no source of life from the remaining bandits. This is wrong, Goku thought.

"Goku!" Bols shouted running over, "Bols...'' he replied trying his best to not show the pain on his stomach but failed miserably.

"You're hurt, here," Bols said holding him up. "What happened?" Wave came and asked the two. "He interfered in my fight so boss got him out of the way" Kurome answered with a hint of anger in her voice.

The whole way back, Bols had to stay with Goku, giving him support. He was confused, but rather angry too due to the fact how Esdeath's changed drastically from their childhood. She's becoming more of a sadist and cold-hearted. And insanely powerful too.

"That's enough for today, we'll meet again tomorrow for another pursuit, get back to your stations" Esdeath ordered and they went their separate ways.

"Wave" Goku whispered just as the dark blue haired boy was about to leave. "Oh? What is it, Goku-san?" he asked. "Can I stay the night with you?" he asked with a low voice.

"But... aren't you suppose to be with Esdeath-sama?" Wave whispered back and Goku shook his head, "It's okay I-"

"Is there a problem here, Wave? I thought I told you to get back to your station?" Esdeath asked glaring her eyes at the dark blue-haired boy.

"T-There's no problem, captain. I apologize" Wave said, before nodding at Goku to leave. Once he was out of sight Esdeath turned around with a blush. "Let's go, Son-kun" she gave Goku a loving smile as she lends out her hand for him to take. Goku was worried about her and she noticed this through his facial expression.

"What's wrong, my love?"

"I-I've been meaning to ask you something..."

"Of course. We'll talk once we're in our room"
