Type of Chapter: Transition
But maybe, I could!! But as soon as I made my decision, I see him floating away with the use of... what is that? "Hey, sis!" The boy called from above as I furrow my eyebrows. "Come back here! I'm not done with my punishment!!"
He smiles to me but I don't smile back as he says, "I didn't know you had a kink." My eyes widened.
"Hey, sweetie. Welcome back." Mom greeted me from the kitchen as I walked into the house. "Thanks, umm..." Mom peeks from the kitchen and asks, "how's school?" She continues washing the dishes as I walk up the stairs. "Not... doing well."
Mom frowns from the sink. "Why not?" I stop halfway as I say, "I'm just... confused, I guess." Mom looks away. "Alright, hope you feel any better later on." She says as I say my thanks and walk back to my room.
I lay down on my bed as rethink my day. I sigh to myself, feeling so damn tired. Slowly, I turn to my window to find myself feeling a little drowsy. After 5 minutes or so, I feel a presence in the room.
My eyes fluttered open as I see someone climbing inside. My eyes widened and got the closest thing that was beside me which was my Algebra book from school. I hit the intruder with the "weapon," and he yells in pain.
After hitting the person, I turn to look who it was. "Ts-Tsukasa?" I call as he holds his head, asking me, "what was that for?!" He yelled as I pressed my lips, thinking for a bit. I clicked my tongue and blushed in embarrassment, giggling a bit. "It's your fault for being an intruder! What was that for?"
Tsukasa turns to me. "Well, I wanted to do that thing in the movies where the guy just enters the girls' room through the window." My eyes went half-lidded as I called him an idiot as I lay on my stomach back in the bed.
"Say, what happened?" Tsukasa asked. "You look... pretty tired." I shake my head, playing with the covers on my bed. "Nothing, really." He tilts his head as he looks at my solemn face and smiles. "Say, wanna head somewhere else?"
I turned away as he sighs because of the familiar feeling, smiling to himself. "Oh, [Y/n]. What would I do without you?" He sat on my bed as I feel him playing with my hair. "Alright," I say as he cheers. "I'll tell you what happened."
For a while, I explained what I've experienced. He nods in agreement as he admits, "I have no idea what you just said." I sigh in disappointment as I hug him. He looks at me and hugs me tightly.
We sit there as I immediately said, "this is getting awkward. I should--." I was about to stand up, but Tsukasa held me tighter. Not getting to escape, I turn back to Tsukasa, evidently confused. "Is there a problem?"
He furrows his eyebrows and my eyes widened at the action. "Stay." He simply says with his eyebrows still furrowed. I sigh and smile weakly back at him and stayed comfortable, hugging Tsukasa back.
We stayed in that position for quite a while that made my eyes goes drowsy. I closed my eyes shut as I endure the moment with Tsukasa, comfortable than I ever was. Secretly, I hope to myself that I will remember and treasure this moment.
I slept beside him one last time. It was very comfortable and I had nothing to do, but slowly close my eyes as all my worries slowly...
I sit up.
Shivers went down my spine as the sweat was cascading through my face. My breath was short and I shook my head. I checked my surroundings and, luckily, I was still in my room and... Tsukasa was sleeping peacefully beside me.
The light was open and the sun was already setting. I looked through the window and thought I was only asleep for 5 minutes. That's the thing, whenever a person's mind is still awake, and they're trying to sleep, it feels like 10 minutes. But in reality, it's been 10 hours.
I was scared. I was scared that I might hear him again. "Hear who?" Tsukasa sits up, scratching his eye. My cheeks started to redden in embarrassment and I closed my eyes after feeling my cheeks go warm.
"I... um... you know?" Tsukasa seems to be clueless. "The guy who wished me good night?" The boy with black, chopped hair shakes his head and I sigh. "I've just been hearing voices at night as if someone was in my room is all, really."
We stay there in silence. But, I turn to him slowly, head hanging a bit lower than usually. "Tsukasa," I held his hand. "I'm scared." He looks away, still in utter confusion. "Scared at what? There's nothing to be scared about, I mean, I'm still here, aren't I?"
He reviews his words and corrects himself. "W-We, Um... Yashida, Minami, there's also Amane and Mitsu! We're here with you and... we'll always be with you. No matter what. You can tell us anything." He says with confidence, but then he remembers something.
He stops holding my sweaty hands and grabs something from his pocket. "Here," he shows a wrong. But, that's weird. Why on earth he would give me... "It's from Amane." He frowns. "I couldn't get you anything. But here," he shows me this rock.
"He says it's nothing much, but just a rock. He's got into astrology lately and that's all I know." He looks down a bit and looks p again, remembering something. "He also says to keep it close to you, got that?"
He grabs this other rock and shows it to me. "Look, he even got me one too!" He frowns. "Though, he said it wasn't from the ground."
I look back at the rock and held it close to my heart, smiling to myself, remembering to treasure this day even what happened after this afternoon.
