the petite girl walked up to the red door turning the auburn knob into the art class that belonged to mrs. grundy

deciding she she didn't want to bother anyone with her presence today

she took a seat in the back of the class at the at the far left
right against the huge window

3 minutes later the loud bell rang

students pilled in the room taking their respective seats
ale
who was her usual art partner didn't even wonder why she wasn't in her usual seat or even if she had gotten to school safely

but sarah the girl she had met yesterday

took a seat next to a seat next to her
gently tapping riely to get her attention

"hey" sarah said with way too much excitement

"hello" riely replied her voice rather monotone

sarah bunched up her eyebrows in confusion as they joyful happy girl she had met the day before was no longer present

"riely what's wrong" sarah spoke her voice laced with confusion

"nothing, i'm just not sure if i have friends anymore" the small girl shrugged

"you have me" sarah replied smiling softly at riely
"now tell me what happened" she continued

riely explained everything that happened from yesterday morning with ale in the car, to the kiss with kai, and even this morning with them forgetting about her
with hopes that sarah would keep this information to her self

the small blonde girl listened to every detail that came out of rielys mouth hoping to help the poor girl

finally sarah spoke up
"riely don't worry about them okay? i don't know what happened but i can assure you it's gonna be okay"

"how about we have a girls night this saturday at my house? it'll cheer you up!" sarah said her voice laced with hope

it was silent as she awaited an answer

it felt like hours to sarah when it was only 1 minute

"that's sounds nice" riely with a soft smile

which was soon wiped off her face as the teacher spoke at both girls loudly

"do you two mind sharing with the class, i mean you both have been talking for most of my lesson"

"no ma'am" riely and sarah spoke at the same time

"then be quiet or get the hell out" mrs grundy spoke her teeth grinding against each other

the girls stopped their conversation and payed attention to the teacher
even though riely had already learned it before she moved to NJ
she still payed attention

*time skip cuz i'm lazy*

lunch had finally rolled around

riely didn't know where to sit

when she looked at her usual table her spot was taken once again by celia
and the boys didn't seem to mind one bit

that's not what had hurt rielys feelings

what hurt her was the fact that kairi had his arm around celias waist kissing her cheek

like the night before never happened

"maybe it was just a dream"
"i mean it was way to good to be true"

she turned away only to be met face to face with sarah

again...

"you could sit with us if you'd like" sarah told riely her voice laced with joy and her hopes high

riely accepted the offer taking a seat with the rest of sarah's friends which sarah introduced one by one
their names were derek, mike, kobe and vallyk they also said the girls were at volleyball practice so she'd have to need them later

the girl didn't feel like eating as she felt sick
after seeing what just took place between kairi and ceiling fan

so she simply laid her head against the cold metal surface of the cafeteria table
waiting for the day to be over

thankfully she had one more class
