"mom i'm pregnant" the girl whispered her voice cracking
the rubbing motion on her back stopped and the tension in the air was thick
her mother grabbed her chin roughly turning rielys head to face hers
"you're what!"the mother roared
"pregnant" riely whispered trying to avoid her mother's piercing gaze
"that's why you were in the hospital isn't it" the mother muttered shaking her head
"why didn't you tell me?" the mother questioned
"scared" was all riely replied before her mother pulled her into a bone crushing hug
"so who's the father?" her mom melissa asked
"kairi" riely said
"does he know" melissa questioned again
"no" riely replied
"you need to tell him" was all her mother said before getting up and making her way to her bedroom
the weekend was finally over and riely knew she couldn't miss another week of school she would fall behind if she did
surprisingly when she went outside to start walking she was met face to face with roshaun
he was waiting for her and she was thankful for this thankful for the fact that he didn't look at her any differently
she got in the car and roshaun began to pull off
"did you eat?" he said
riely responded shaking her head no
"you need to eat ri" he stated "did you even take your pregnancy medication this morning?" he questioned
"i forgot, but i do still have them with me" riely said looking down at her feet
roshaun nodded before turning into a mcdonald's drive through
he ordered for both of them before heading in the direction of the school once again
roshaun pulled into the parking space turning the car off he then turned to riely
"me and alvaro have your back until you tell kai, we're not going to let you go through this alone" "i'll pick you up tomorrow at 8" he said before getting out of the and car shutting the door leaving riely sitting in the passenger seat munching on the rest of her breakfast sandwich
