xii. hospital visits and suspicion!
|AMBROSIA HAD AWOKE FROM SOME QUIET CHATTER GOING ON, outside her hospital room. The girl could hear snippets of conversation, and a few voices. She recognized the three voices that seemed to be the loudest, or more concerned you could say. She attempted opening her eyes, but they were heavily drawn shut.
Her mother seemed to be in major distress, her voice raising at a possible doctor. "Is she alright or not! You're disregarding all my questions!"
Ambrosia immediately groaned loudly, at the sudden noise. She tried to reach a hand up to her forehead but it was held down. "Hunny? Are you awake?" This time her mother's voice was closer.
The girl moved her head up and down hesitantly, as her neck ached. "Miss Papageorgiou? Can you open your eyes for me?" An unfamiliar voice asked.
Ambrosia struggled to pull on the muscles, trying to open her eyes. As they opened, she was urged into a bright white room, where the lights immediately burned her eyes. She winced, shutting them quickly after.
"I apologize, I will dim the lights." The unfamiliar voice spoke again, making her realize how smooth it was. "You may open your eyes."
Amber sighed, retracting her eye lids, exposing the white room once again, but this time it was a bit darker, something she could see in. Her eyes traveled over the room, seeing needles by her side frightened her. Ambrosia had a deathly fear of them, and to see them so close, scared her.
Her widened hazel blue eyes trailed down her arm, observing the iv line that stuck out of her arm. She noticed a hand on that very arm. Ambrosia tilted her head up to see her mother with eyes full of worry. "M-Mom?"
Her mother exhaled, a smile now wavering on her face. "Oh, Ambrosia." She said, leaning down to hug her daughter. "I'm so, so sorry. I shouldn't have let you go there, I knew something bad was going to happen." She ranted softly.
"Miss Papageorgiou, my name is Carlisle, do you know what happened to you?"
Ambrosia looked away from her mother to see a blonde male who looked extremely young to be a doctor. She could tell he worked at the hospital because he was sporting a white coat, that almost looked to be a lab coat. He was wearing a light blue undershirt that had a large tie, and some dark navy plants. His eyes.. his eyes looked the same as Jasper's when they weren't black.
She noticed a face of confusion on her mother, and quickly tried to recall what the doctor had asked. She tried to have a crack at remembering what had happened to her. She could remember standing beside Bella, by her orange rusty truck.
"I-I was with B-Bella.. by her truck." She pondered for a few moments. "I-Is Bella alright?" She asked, looking around her, she couldn't see her best friend anywhere.
