It was the next day and Mia walked John to class again. More people have been seeing it and talking about them.

"I heard that cripple is hanging out with Mia now."

"Oh no, he's going to influence her just like Seraphina."

"Watch, in a few months, she's going to get suspended too."

"I wonder how Arlo will react."

Arlo? What does he have to do with Mia? John thought. Are they dating?

Meanwhile with Isen...

Isen was sitting in the common area. He was researching about John after Arlo basically commanded him to, but it's not like Isen wasn't curious. Blyke walked in, holding a drink in his hand and noticed Isen. They talked for a bit, Blyke noticing a picture of John on Isen's laptop.

"Why are you so obsessed with that John guy? Mia said she's friends with him, but he's a total ass! She and Remi tried to help him once, and he just yelled and tried slapped Remi. Mia barely managed to push her away before he hit her," Blyke said.

"Oh, I heard about that," Isen said.

Blyke leaned against the table, asking, "Hm, instead of worrying about that guy, why not spend more time with them? Mia has been down lately and since Rei passed, Remi still hasn't been herself. It's worrisome. You know?"

"Mhmm," Isen only hummed, pissing off Blyke.

"Hey man, can you at least pretend to care? They're your friends too!" Blyke said.

"We already talked about this three times! Mia's probably down because she was closer to Rei before he passed."

"Well, Mia told me what happened to when she was still with her parents."

"Oh? What happened?" Isen also guessed that something happened to Mia before, but he didn't know the details.

"Her mom's in jail-" Blyke replied then stopped himself. Did Mia want to keep this stuff secret?

"In jail?" Isen did a double-take. He definitely didn't expect that.

"Forget I said that," Blyke smacked himself in the head, "I'm not sure Mia would want me to tell anyone else." Blyke felt a little guilty for saying it.

"Yeah. I won't tell anyone," Isen said, "You know, I'm a little shocked that Mia told you first. She's known Remi since middle school and been friends with Arlo before that, but even Arlo doesn't know the full story."

"I don't think I know everything either, but it takes time."

Isen smirked, "Maybe she feels more comfortable with you."

"That's good, we're friends after all," Blyke smiled.

This dense idiot. Isen thought.

"So what should we do?"

"How about we take them out this weekend?" Isen suggested.

"Oh, you have a place in mind?"

"I dunno, like the mall or something? Get their mind off recent events..."

"That could work. We don't have too many assignments this week. Alright, I'll let them know then. Don't bail on us this time, okay? If you do, Mia might actually come after you this time."
