23. Without him

It's late night now. I'm still sitting in the hospital corridor waiting for news of Bryce's health. I worry more and more every minute. Charli and Chase went to their apartment to sleep for a few hours, they also suggested it to me, but I refused. I won't leave the hospital until I know he's going to be fine. So far it is not so. Doctors and nurses are constantly checking his situation, and I can't even go into the room and see him. But I understand, these are the rules. After a while, I covered myself with my jacket and fell asleep on the chair.

*2 hours later*
My nap was interrupted by Charli and Chase who had just returned to the hospital. They sat down next to me.

- Any news? - Charli asked

- No. Nothing is known. Doctors are still watching over him, but so far it is very bad. - I announced in a hoarse voice

We sat in total silence. None of us felt like talking. Our friend is lying in a tragic condition in the other room and is fighting for his life, so what are we to talk about?

- Addison, you sure you don't want to come home? sleep there and then come back here? - Hudson asked thoughtfully

- No. I told you I'm not gonna leave this place until I know he's fine. - I replied sharply

I know I reacted badly. Chase asked me a normal question, he took care of me and I answer him so rudely? Then I'll apologize to him. Now I just have a million thoughts per second, I have a lot of emotions, negative.

- Well. It's 5:00 in the morning. We'll take a nap. - Charli suggested

We all nodded. I rested my head on Charli's shoulder and fell asleep. I don't know exactly how much I slept, but my sleep was interrupted by the doctor's voice. I got up quickly. Maybe he has some important information to share with us?

- Doctor, what about him? - Hudson asked immediately

- His condition is still bad. But I allow one of you to enter it. You have to choose. -doctor informed us firmly

Only one person? We all want to see him. I looked towards my friends. They immediately suggested that I should go to the Bryce room. They said Hall would definitely like me to be there. I put my jacket on the chair and asked Charla to keep an eye on my purse. Slowly I entered the room in which he was lying. When I saw him, I broke down. He looked terrible! He was so battered. He had tons of bandages and other equipment. Tears started to run down my cheeks. I wiped them quickly and sat in the chair next to Bryce's bed.

- Bryce .. I know you can't hear me now, but I  want to tell you that I love you. Even very much! And I am begging you to stay with us in this world. Don't leave us. -I sobbed more and more

I looked at him and couldn't believe what was happening right now. Suddenly a nurse came into the room and told me to leave his room. I patted his hand and slowly left. Chase and Charli immediately started hugging me when they saw my condition. I told them about what he looks like and how worried I was. They tried to console me even though they too were devastated.
