Not a poem, just another random journal entry <3
When you go to bed at night, you probably don’t worry about whether or not the sun is going to rise the next day. You don’t give it any thought because why should you? Every morning without fail the sun rises and sweeps away the darkness of the night bathing the world in its golden glow. And we go about our day not even realizing that maybe we’re taking that very sun for granted.
Because what if one day it just didn’t rise? What if one day the sky was left stained inky black and the entire world was plunged into an eternal night? What if the sun decided to stay behind the moon and not grace our world with its much welcomed presence? What would happen then? The world would lay silent for a second, a minute maybe. And then we’d all panic. Life as we know it would be over. It’d be the end for all 7.34 billion of us. All because we weren’t prepared. But why should we have been prepared? There were no signs.
The things that can cause the most destruction, are often the least predictable.
