I usually stay away from writing about love. And on the off chance that I do write a poem about it, I'm never bold enough to share it. However, this was something I've written recently. I don't even come remotely close to liking it, but I thought I'd share it regardless. If I can share my other writings, why not this one?Its not much but I hope you enjoy this little peek into my mind.
Yours truly,
Freddie CadeYou're close to me
But not close enough to notice that
I think
I might
Possibly
Love youIt's not meant to be though
That I'm sure of
More sure than anything
"Why is it not meant to be?" you ask
Because I'll never let you know that
I think
I might
possibly
Love youI shouldnt notice the way your eyes light up when you smile
Or how your laugh sounds after I say something stupid
Or how you get worked up about the things you love and can talk about them for hours
I know that I shouldnt notice
that doesnt stop me from noticing though
But it does stop me from telling youI know that someday we'll
.grow up
..hang out
...get older
....Graduate
.....Move away
......Start new lives
Completely different lives at that
And s l o w l y
Most of our memories together will become fuzzy
As they fade away
Almost completely
And dissolve into the gap between now and thenBut
If by chance you do remember me,
You'll remember me as a friend
Not someone who
Once thought
That they might
PossiblyLove you
