Chapter 10: What's going on with Aidan (Dean's & Aidan's POV)

We walk into the waiting room, all of Aaron's family are here my twins raced off to go hang out with their cousins, we all said hello to everyone Aaron must be in with Jamie. I go to sit down next to Erin when Aidan pulls on my arm, I look at him. "Dad, can we talk?"

"Sure son, follow me." We walk off away from everyone in the far back corner of the room, he sits down I sit next to him. "Is everything ok?"

"No... think I'm broken..." He looks sad, this is breaking my heart watching him being upset. "Why do you think you're broken?"

"Can you keep a secret?" I give him the are you serious look, then I remembered I try not to tell them this part of me. "Oh, I am the best at keeping secrets. But also depends on what this secret is. Has nothing to do with drug use does it?"

"Good... what? NO! It doesn't..."

"Well, that's good. In your own time." I lean back crossing my arms letting him tell me when he's ready. "You're going to hate me."

"I'll be the judge of that, but just letting you know nothing in this world would ever have me hating one of my sons."

"Dad I think I'm gay."

"Is that it? Aidan thought it was something horrible like you enjoy killing animals or something. Good for you, you know me I have always told you boys love is love, whoever they are. Wait what do you mean you think?"

"You are not mad at me or anything?"

"It's your life and your body you know it better than I would. If you're into the same-sex then so beat it, I'm not going to say you're going to have an easy life. As there is still a lot of judgmental people out in the world, I just want you to be happy ok. Are you happy?"

"I think I am now... please don't tell my brother's."

"Oh no that's for you to tell them. Also, they may already guess it." He looked horrified, "How long have you've known dad?" He whispered, "Quite a while now, but more so after our car trip here."

"Why didn't you say?"

"Something tells me if I asked you it wouldn't have been polite. Why do you think your gay and not I am gay?"

"I have kissed girl's, and gotten nothing from it." I am glad these kids open up to me, "So you haven't kissed a boy yet?"

"I want to but I am unsure if he's gay too." How do I help him when I have no experience in this, wait if I swap it around might work? "Well, I am going to try my best to help you out as much as I can. But bear in mind I have no experience in this."

"I know dad, thank you..." Here goes nothing, "Well when you are talking to this boy maybe drop some hints like you would if it was a girl."

"That's what I am stuck on." He keeps moving around in his chair, "Well start with asking what they like either a band or a show, and start from there."

"So, you are really ok with this?" Why does he keep asking me that? "Yes, Aidan I am, your mom would be too." He looked surprised, "You think so?"

"Yes, she loved all three of you and would be happy just to see you being happy and treated well." He throws his arms around me holding on tight to me, I wrap my arms around him too, as he whispers. "I love you, dad." I held onto him tighter, "I Love you too"

"HIS FUCKING AWAKE!" Aaron came into the waiting room yelling with pride, we all jumped up standing around him, he's holding his hands up telling everyone to shhh. "Babe can you call up Tony please Dean his asking for you, also still one on one. I'll be calling dad up."
