A/N; Making this chapter longer than the last one because the last one was just so short! Also the thing where I start with a letter will not be every chapter, sorry!!

*Chapter four*

Andrew
----
I turn the Subaru off the highway and onto an old dirt road, I drive for a while until I am surrounded by rolling hills and pine forests, I turn at a small road that is hidden by trees. I stop and park the car next to a small cabin, unlocking it with a small key and locking it behind me.

I opened a small bedside table and pulled out a book, sitting on the bed and pulling a pen from my pocket, I wrote Delilah Throne; Mated to Andrew Deckerman, Beta of Spirit Valley pack.

I put the book back, and slid the pen next to it. I sighed and took my shirt off, following the rest of my clothing and placed them into a satchel, tying it to my hip, I nodded.

"Ready?" I asked

"Let's go." He responded solemnly. Slowly I could feel my bones cracking and changing within my skin.

At that, I took off, large black paws pounding the ground and kicking up dirt, running at full speed without a care in the world. This was the life. And she would know it too, soon.

Delilah

I stood outside in my backyard, staring at the stars, a smile plastered to my face. Mom and Lucy where both at my house as well, inside getting some snacks and drinks, we where having a small bonfire so I could get to know Lucy better.

"Delilah!" Mom called, I turned around to see her holding a huge tray filled with snacks

"Oh! Let me help you!" I ran over to her and grabbed the other end of the tray just before it fell and helped her walk it over to the small table we had set up earlier.

Finally we where all sitting down and the fire was started, it was very quiet and the only sounds where the crackling of the fire and a dog barking off in the distance. I smiled and snuggled into my warm sweater.

"It's chilly." I said, breaking the silence.

"Yes, but I'm rather cozy. Uh, this fire produces a lot of heat." Out of the corner of my eye, I saw mom shoot her a look and it went silent again. Quickly, mom tried to reduce the awkwardness, as always.

"Well, it is nearly winter, and there is supposed to be a lot of snow, especially up here in the boonies." Mom chuckled.

"This is not the boonies!" I pouted.

"We live and hour away from a forest! And look at those stars! Could you see that anywhere else?" Mom countered, crossing her arms playfully.

"Fine, you win." I mad a fake sad face and Lucy chuckled from next to me.

"What so funny?" Mom scoffed.

"N-nothing, just you two.." She broke out in laughter, wiping her eyes.

"It's not that funny!" Mom exclaimed, jumping from her chair.

"Oh hush." Lucy waved her hand dismissively.

"You guys sound like old ladies." I murmured.

"We what?!" They both yelled at the same time.

We all broke out in laughter "Wow Delilah that's low-" my mom started but was cut off by the sound of the neighbor dogs barking.

"Good job! You woke the neighbors dogs!" Lucy pointed at me.

"Me? I didn't do-"

"Sshh!" Mom whisper-yelled. "Hear that, Delilah?" She asked, cupping her ear with a hand.

I stopped talking and listened intently, but I did hear something, the distant sound of dogs howling, soon our neighbors dogs joined in the chorus, soon it seemed like the whole world was singing with a beautiful melody.

I turned around to see that Lucy looked constipated. "I've got to use the restroom, is that alright?" She burst out.

"Yeah.. Sure." I said quietly, wanting to listen to the dogs howling longer. Immediately she took for the house and I blinked, confused.

------Later------

We all sat inside, watching tv, an old rerun of The Big Bang Theory was on, but none of us where really paying attention, at least I wasn't. I snuggled into our couch, wrapped in a blanket, replaying the sound of the howling dogs over and over in my mind. I never knew dogs could sound so beautiful. I smiled and yawned.

"Mom, don't you think those dogs that were howling while we where outside sounded really pretty?" I asked, looking over at her drowsily. Instantly she tensed up and nodded stiffly.

"Yeah, they where." She said, a weak smiled on her face.

"I'm tired, I'm heading up to bed." I acted like I didn't notice the way she reacted. She nodded, and I sluggishly went upstairs and climbed into bed.
