"nini?" ricky quietly called out as he slowly walked up to the couch. the boy felt his heart start to beat faster and his hands start to tremble. ricky closed his eyes and finally faced the couch. he took a deep breath before slowly opening his eyes. "no...nini... i said i'd be back.. nini.. no! neens... please."

there she was, sitting on the couch with her eyes closed. her arm was dangling off of the arm rest and her hand was open as the white flower laid on the floor. she was gone. ricky brought his hand over his mouth and started to sob.

"HELP! I NEED H-HELP!" ricky yelled as loud as he could. he ran next to nini's side and started to slowly shake her, "NINI! PLEASE WAKE UP! NEENS!"

ricky heard the nurses run in the room and rush to nini's side, "sir, we're gonna have to ask you to step away."

"oh my god! no no no... please no," ricky said to himself in a shaky voice. he stepped backwards and saw nini's dar rush into the room.

"NINI! NINI!" mr. roberts called out and ran to where nini was. as soon as he saw nini, he fell to the floor and started to sob as hard as he could, "NO! NO! NO! NOT MY BABY!"

ricky felt his eyes start to water even more at the sound of her dad's cries. ricky watched as the nurses carried nini's body onto a stretcher. "NINI! COME ON!" mr. roberts cried as he stood next to her body. he held onto her hand and held it as tight as he could.

ricky stood next to nini as well and looked at how still her body was. he shook his head and grabbed nini's other hand, "please... please.. don't go, nini. please, come back."

ricky looked down at her hand in his and cried even more. he brought it up to his face and gave it a gentle kiss. the boy studied the way nini's hand felt and looked in his, knowing it was going to be the last time he held it. "i'll a-always love y-you, angel."

"we're so sorry," one of the nurses said to ricky and mr. roberts. the two boys finally let go of nini's hands and looked at the girl with hurt. the nurses gave them a sincere look before they covered nini's body with a cloth. ricky felt like a knife just went to his chest as he watched the love of his life get rolled away.

the nurses left the room with nini and it was finally quiet again. the two boys stared at the doorway in shock and let their cries fill the room. ricky could barely see from the amount of tears in his eyes and he had no idea what to do. the curly headed boy felt mr. roberts arms wrap around him. ricky just frozen - he had no reaction or expression.

"it's okay.. she's okay," mr. roberts whispered to ricky as he held him. ricky was still frozen as more tears fell down from his eyes. "she's with her mom now, she's okay."
