"What's everyone staring at" I got out of the horse drawn carriage as it pulled up to the Academy. Harriet and Chanel had joined the crowd of spectating students.
"The Enchantress, she's charming the school" Harriet replied.
I pushed to the front of the crowd to see an elderly woman standing with Una and Flameander.
"Thank you for doing this" I greeted her.
"Fear has risen in the hearts of everyone, if I can help I shall" she nodded, addressing my presence.
"We will take you to the top of the Ivy Tower"
I didn't even feel my burning muscles until I had reached the top of the tower. "Everyone, step back" The Enchantress warned. She began muttering foreign words under her breath until a ball of glowing energy formed in her palms. As she continued to chant the beam grew, erupting suddenly into the atmosphere before forming a dome shape around the Academy. The dome was virtually invisible, except for the occasional glimmer of magic. Looking out beyond the protective dome I wondered how many creatures were watching us, planning their next attack. The thought made me uneasy, but for now we were safe.
