Hailey's POV:
I find my dorm room and jump on my bed once I get past the door. Today was an exhausting day at uni. I lay with my belly on my bed and pick my phone up. I scroll down the contacts until I find the contact with the name "bestie" and click on it. After a second or so, she picks up.
"Have you found a boyfriend yet?" Is the first thing she says and I giggle.
"Hello to you too." I say and look out the window. Today is a cool and rainy day which is why I am wearing an oversized hoodie my friends bought me for my birthday and wrap myself in a warm blanket I have on my bed.
"Yeah yeah let's get straight to business. Tell me! Did you meet anyone?" She presses which causes me to roll my eyes.
"I guess I met someone today.." I trail off and hear her squealing from the other line. She is crazy indeed.
"Tell me already!" She practically yells and I almost drop my phone.
"Right. So you remember that guy who is pretty much a loner and never talks to anyone?" I say hoping she will catch on.
"You mean the hot mysterious guy that all girls have a crush on?" She says and I can tell she is bitting on her bottom lip.
"Yeah, I guess you could call him that." I say and find myself bitting my own bottom lip just by thinking of his hot dark eyes and sharp jawline.
"Right. Now snap out of it and tell me! I'm literally dying over here!" She yells and I return to reality.
"Okay okay! Gosh, stop yelling at me." I sigh. "Nothing special we just had a small encounter."
"A small encounter eh? Like?" She asks not sure whether that's particularly good or something irrelevant.
"Well...I sorta bumped into him" I say blushing after realising how dumb this sounds.
"Wow. You should get married guys." She mocks and I chuckle.
"Well the thing is, he actually talked to me and if anything, I witnessed his smile for the first time. No one has ever seen him smile before. So that has to be some sort of achievement, right?" I ask feeling hopeful.
"Wait. Are you actually telling me that he talked and smiled....and all caused by you?" She asks like a bomb ready to explode waiting for my answer.
"Yes you could say that" I say hesitantly scared of what might follow and back to the crazy squealing we go.
"MAN HE IS SO INTO YOU!!" She screams and I am pretty sure that whoever is in the building right now heard her.
"Man that sucks" she suddenly says and I arch an eyebrow.
"What sucks?" I ask not sure if I want to know the answer to that one.
"You get to lose your v card before me! I will lose our bet!" She says and that's when I've had it and press the end button. She is indeed too crazy for my own good.

~~~
It's Saturday morning which means no lectures for the day. I grab my biology textbook and a few other notebooks and shove them in my bag. I grab my wallet, my glasses and my phone.
I put on light blue jeans and a warm oversized jumper. I put my hair in a messy ban and I'm ready to go.
The thing that I love about Saturday mornings is my chance to get up early and study at my favourite coffee shop out of campus.
I barely catch the bus and put on my headphones once I find a seat.
I watch as the shops and houses pass me by quickly and listen to the uplifting music coming from my phone.
Once the bus stops, I quickly leave the vehicle and head to the small café right in the corner of the busy road I am on.
The smell of fresh coffee is reminiscent of Saturday mornings and I smile once I find that my usual seat is empty. There is a stool and a table right in front of the window. There, I always like to look outside while forcing caffeine down my system.
I head to the counter where I see a woman with wavy blond hair and blue eyes. She is wearing a gentle smile as she looks at me.
"What can I get for you?" She says and I think about my options. Is it caffeine or is it healthy option B?
"An orange juice, please" Healthy option B it is.
"We'll serve you at your table" she says and I take a seat at my usual spot.
After some time of studying different definitions and names, I see a hand placing a cup next to my notebook. It is muscled and has many veins popping out making it look even more toned. This arm surely didn't belong to the blonde lady.
I turn around just to feel my heart skip a beat when I realise the owner of the muscular arm. The owner of my heart. Okay that was stupid.
"Thanks" I mutter but he seems a little too distracted to reply. He is wearing a black shirt and jeans. He is also wearing a green apron like every other waiter in the shop.
Why was he always so distant and why did no one even know his name. I had to know.
After some akward eye contacts with hot nameless guy and some more definitions in physics, I take off my glasses and take out my debit card to pay.
Once I've paid, I make one last akward eye contact with him and head out of the cafe. Every time that I would look at him, he would quickly avert his eyes from mine. Was it so bad to look at me? To talk to me?
