Chapter 18

We swam and played fun games for hours, around some point Casey and Brandon joined us.

By the time it was almost 8:00 PM, we all stopped the fun and headed to the dining hall, first, we washed our hands.

I was heading to a table, but once again bumped into someone.

I looked up, "It's you!" I recognized him, the guy who  I bumped into earlier.

"You remember me?"

"Well...didn't we meet at the pool earlier? I wouldn't forget that easily."

"I was right," I tilted my head, confused, "that we would meet again."

"Well, we're in the same hotel, kinda hard to miss."

"Then," he hands me his phone, "can I have your phone number?"

"Uh, hehe, sure then, I don't see why not." I took his phone and added my number.

He presses the call button, my phone vibrates in my hands, since my swim trunks are still wet.

"That's my number, the name's Austin, what's yours?"

"Payton."

"Nice name, I'll see you around," He then walks to a table and sat down.

I was thinking that I should do the same, so I got myself a seat and waited for Riley, Brandon, and Casey.

Someone pulls one of the chairs, I looked up and saw Zack.

"Do you mind if I sit down for a while?"

You're already sitting down, why bother asking?

"Sure."

"Can I borrow your phone, my phone died, I need to call somebody from home."

I unlocked the passcode, before I handed it to him, he took it and went somewhere more private to call.

It took him some time, I spotted Riley with food in his hands, he was coming over to sit on the table.

"Is it just me or did I really see you with Zack just a moment ago?"

"You're not wrong, he wants to borrow my phone for a bit, family needs."

"But why borrow your phone when Miles and Andrew were next to him before he came to you?"

"And how'd you know that?"

"I have good eyes,"

"Maybe they didn't bring their phone with them, or something."

"Yeah, a huge coincidence."

Now that I think about it, it does seem weird, but why my phone?

"If I were you, I wouldn't trust a suspicious person and keep my distance."

"Because that's what you would do." I said, rolling my eyes.

"At least it'd be for my own good, and... speaking of the devil."

I looked where Riley was facing, Zack was coming back with my phone.

"Thanks for letting me borrow your phone." He said setting my phone down on the table and left.

"I'm going to order dinner, I'll be back."

"You're going to order food? While being shirtless? Are you showing off?" He jokes.

"And you're not?" I said, looking at Riley, who's also shirtless, giving him the 'really' look.
