Part 8: First Performance

It was now Monday , tomorrow was our gig and my first performance. "Alright girls , we got to beat the german dumb cloths." Chloe said while turning a bored that says 'DSM'. "We have to beat DSM at their own game , just better." Beca said with her hands in the air in defense. "We're gunna be doing a full assessment and choreography for tomorrow." Chloe says. "But the important thing is that we have fun right." I say with a giggle. "Legacy, don't take this the wrong way but you're a very stupid person." Amy says as everyone looks at me weird. "But i just thought-" I said before being cut of. "Okay girls lets do this!" Chloe says while clapping making everyone get up.

First we get our voices warmed up. We sing random songs which made us have a riff off by ourselves until chloe told us we were getting started. We sing a mashup that Beca has been working on until we finally start our choreography. We go through the routine about 59 times until we got it right. We use a bunch of probs , we use rip of our pants , we do flips , we do stunts , and of course we do dancing. In my opinion it looked a little to mature for performing in front of old people.

Once we finally had finished everything. We broke it out singing "Ahhhhh" in unison. "I've been working really hard on keeping my eyes open when I sing , but if you could give me any-" I tell beca before she cuts me off. "I'm sorry , i don't wanna be rude but i have somewhere i need to be. You did great today!" Beca tells me while walking outside. "Thanks." I say with a slight smile. "Hey chlo? Where's Beca going?" I ask her. "I honestly have no idea." She says with a frown before walking out. "That was weird." I say with a giggle before walking back to the bellas house.

When i got back to the bella house Chloe called us all to the living room. " Girls can y'all please come here?" Chloe yelled from the living room. Everyone started walking in. "Okay so tomorrow we are gunna be leaving at around 12. The drive will take us about 1 hour and a half since we're driving a mini bus. We'll get dressed over there and do our hair there as well being done by 3. Does anyone volunteer to drive the bus tomorrow?" Chloe asked. "Yeah , i'll do it." Ashley said. "Alright great! Lily will you make our outfits for tomorrow?" Chloe asks Lilly. She nods in response.  "Okay great." Chloe says with a long pause. "Has anyone seen Beca?" Chloe asks with a confused faced. No one answers.

Later that night  in Beca's room...

Beca was  sitting on her bed , headphones on , trying to make a mashup to give to her boss. Chloe was in the Living room asleep on the couch with Emily while watching a movie. When Amy suddenly run to her room out of breath. "What?! A girl can't go out for a smoothie and come back 10 hours later?" Amy says out of breath. "What are you doing up this late anyways?" Amy says while walking to the closet to change. "It's nothing. ." Beca says with a smile. " You're working on our set for tomorrow for like the 5th time?" Amy says while sitting on the bed. "No , just forget it." Beca replies while taking off her headphones to face Amy. "You know beca , you could tell me anything , i'm the keeper of secrets. Your bestfriend." Amy says trying to convince Beca. Beca just shakes her head. "So this has nothing to do with that secret internship you've been attending?" Amy says with an eyebrow cocked. "I uh-" Beca says before being cut off by Amy. "Oh come on beca. I saw your badge! Remember when I steal 20 bucks from your bag and you pretend not to notice?Dont be mad." Amy says. "The badge, i'm not mad about . But the money i wanna come back too." Beca says in response. "shhhh." Amy says shushing her. "Why didn't you tell us. Why didn't you tell Chloe?" Amy says with a frown. " Because chloe is locked in the world right now , and i don't want her to think that my main focus isn't the worlds. But it turns out i'm totally not good enough to be a music producer coming towards my boss , and it sucks barley finding out 4 years into college." Beca says while forcing a laugh. " Beca , you are the most talented person i know. Do you need some of my confidence?" Amy asks. She grabs her hand and rubs it under her armpit. "Is that where it comes from - oh okay." Beca says as amy puts it on her face. "Thank you." Beca says. "Wait there's still more." Amy says while rubbing her butt to put it on becas face. " I don't want your butt confidence! I don't want your butt confidence!" Beca yells.

It was now tuesday, 12 in the afternoon. Meaning it was time for us to leave. I packed my foundation and my eyelashes, and of course my outfit Lilly had made for us the day before. "All right i'm ready." I say walking down the stairs to see everyone outside already. "Well ain't that nice." I say with a laugh. I run outside and put my stuff in the bus.

On the way there we all listened to music or did school. "How did we get this gig again?" I ask chloe. "Oh they called us." Chloe said. And that was the last convo on that bus until the way back.

" It's a full house out there. Why am i so nervous?!" I said while giggling. "You know guys , i feel like we're gunna go out there and we're gunna nail all of it!! Sorry these braids are so tight." Beca said from excitement to a frown. "I don't know guys , if we don't win worlds then we're over , and if we're over then my life would have no m-m-m" Chloe said trying to find the word. "Malaria" Flo said with a smile. "Meaning Flo!" Chloe said with a scoff and walked away. "20 minutes til performance ladies!" A guy said with a knock on the door. We all changed and finished getting ready.

"The barden bellas!!" The announcer said while walking off the stage. We stepped onto the stage and i saw John and Gail love streaming us, i figured they were bad mouthing us. I was right.

The performance was worse than i expected. Cr hair caught on fire causing everyone to stop what they were doing leaving jessica , ashley , and i on the floor after flo back flipped into us.

The bus home was pure silence.
"Is that for a class?" Beca asked pointing to my journal. "Oh no , when i'm stressed words just flow out of me , and i try to channel it into my song writing." I say. "Are we just gunna ignore what happened back there ?! We just ate a big bag of AHHHH!!" Chloe tells at us. "Why you yelling at me , i almost died because of you aca bitches." CR tells chloe. "I'm not pointing my finger at anybody... It was legacy's fault." Fat amy said while point her finger to me. "Me ?! What i didn't even do anything-" I say in defense. "That it. We're going on a retreat." Chloe tells us. "Where exactly?"Beca asked. "You'll find out. We're leaving saturday , we'll be back sunday night." Chloe said. The rest of the bus ride home consisted of me writing songs , beca working on some mixes while chloe was asleep on her shoulder ,CR listening to music , Stacie asleep , Amy eating snacks , Flo was looking at tiktoks , and Jessica was asleep.

When we got home , i took out my braids , planning to take a shower in the morning , i changed into my pajamas, and fell face first onto my bed instantly crashing out.
