Part 5: Im Home

It's been 7 hours since i left Barden University. I called my headmaster explaining the situation. He told me to take all the time i need. So i am.

I get to the hospital and see my grandma and grandpa in the waiting room. They're praying while holding hands. "Grandma ? Grandpa?"I say with a smile. I haven't seen my grandma and grandpa since they moved to Colorado , which was 7 years ago. I go towards them to give them a hug. "How are they?" I ask. "Not doing good baby , we're thinking about pulling the plug. The doctor says there's no chance. There's no brain activity." My grandma says with a tear falling from her eye. " What no, we can't just give up." I say frowning. "I know baby but there's no chance." My grandpa says while hugging me. I deepen the hug and start crying. "Can i see them?" I ask. "Yes of course." My grandma says while taking my hand.

Meanwhile back in barden...

"Hey chlo , should we go check on emily? I'm getting kinda worried." Beca ask's Chloe. "Yeah me too , yeah why not , what's the worst that could happen?" She tells Beca. Beca grabs her hand and start walking to her dorm.

Chloe and Beca have been together for 3 years , almost 4. They do almost everything together. The night after graduation She was planning on popping the big question if you know what i mean.

They get to Emily's dorm room. Chloe knocks on the door. Emily's roommate opens the door. "Hi , is Emily here?" Beca ask's. "No , she didn't come home last night." Madeline says with a shrug. Chloe and Beca's eyes go wide and look at eachother.  "Okay thank you." Beca says with a smile. She closes the door. Chloe turns to Beca. "BECA WHERE THE HECK COULD SHE HAVE GONE !!" Chloe quietly yells at Beca. "I DON'T KNOW CHLO. WHERE WOULD SHE GO-" Beca says until she finally figured out where she would go. "Austin." Beca says while looking at Chloe. "OMG yes! We have to go with her Becs, she needs us." Chloe tells Beca while giving puppy eyes. "Okay yeah you're right. Let's go." Beca says. "Wait , we should take Stacie. They seem like good friends."

They finally find stacie in the library. Beca grabs her by her wrist and she drags her to Beca's car. "What the hell guys? What's going on?" She asks. "We're going to Austin." Chloe says seriously. "No i can't , i have finals tomorrow." She says looking down at her hands. "Sorry..." She says while turning around walking back to the library. "Well that's odd." Beca says while looking at Chloe. " No time. Let's go." Chloe says seriously and gets into the car. Beca get into the car. Preparing herself for the next 7 hours. She pulls out of her parking spot and starts driving.

"Oh my stars..." I say with tears in my eyes. My mom and dad are hooked up to a machine with multiple casts and wires. I immediately start crying. I walk over to them and hold each of there hands. "I'm not giving up on y'all. Y'all wouldn't give up on me. I can't lose y'all." I say crying harder. My grandma walks over to me to pick me up off the floor taking me back to the lobby.

"Who was it?" I say with anger in my voice. "We don't know. It was a hit and run." She says while playing with her fingers.

The rest of that night was a blur. The doctors kept getting called to my parents room. They would get paged every 30 minutes. The machine going dead every once in a while. Them kept telling us they had no hope. At all. No matter what they do. I finally gave in. They pulled the plug and the machines went dead for good. I was bursting down crying.

I heard a knock at the door. I didn't bother to turn around. "Em?" A familiar voice says. I turn around and see Beca and Chloe standing there. Hand in hand. I get up and run towards them giving them the biggest hug in the world. I bury my head into both of there necks. "What are y'all doing here ?" I ask while pulling away from the hug. "To come support you Em. We know this is a tuff time for you , so we wanted to be here to help." Chloe says with a slight smile. I smile back in return.

They were like my literal bestfriends. We had just met yesterday and they already treat me like family.
