AVAN

The night at Ari's place was great.

The six of us all had an amazing time. Plus, Liz was by my side the entire time. What could get better than that?

Actually, I knew of a couple things that could be better than that.

We were all crowded around Ari's pool outside, sitting in lawn chairs as the starts twinkled in the night sky. It was quite warm outside, which felt nice.

"We should play truth or dare," Ari suggested, flipping her bright red hair behind her shoulders. "I'll go first!"

We all muttered in agreement as she pointed at Matt. "Matty! Truth or Dare?"

Matt shrugged. "Truth."

"Boring!" Liz shouted, and a small smile appeared on my lips.

Matt just stuck his tongue out at her, causing her to do the same back.

"Okay, um..." Ari bit her lip as she tried to think of something to ask him. "If you had to date someone out of the six of us, who would it be?"

Another shrug came from Matt. "Maybe Liz?"

My head snapped up towards him, and his eyes widened as he met my cold gaze.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw Ari slump in her chair a bit. I knew she wanted Matt to say her.

Liz giggled softly, and I just frowned.

"My turn!" Vic piped up in excitement. "Avan! Truth or Dare?"

I sighed. Of course she would pick me. "Dare."

"I dare you to jump in the pool with all of your clothes on!"

Really?

"Are you serious?" I huffed.

"Yes," Vic answered with a raise of her eyebrows.

"Don't be a baby, Avan," Liz teased. "Jump in the water."

I grumbled my way to the pool, jumping in with a splash. I brushed some wet hair from my face and spit out the water that had gotten into my mouth.

The girls bursted into giggles and I saw Leon and Matt smirk.

I climbed out of the pool with a frown on my face as I sat back down in my chair, my body soaked.

"Liz, truth or dare?" I asked with a smirk, and she perked up.

"Dare!"

"Jump in the water."

"I can't do the same as you, doofus," she replied, crossing her arms over her chest as she leaned back into her chair.

"It's a dare, is it not?" I raised an eyebrow, and she scowled at me.

"I don't want to."

"Don't be a baby, Liz," I mocked her. "Jump in the water."

She scowled at me again and stood up, making her way towards the water and jumping in with a splash.

I just smirked in victory.
