"What is Disney?"

"What!"

Nico looked round at the group of shocked faces in front of him with confusion. Did they forget his past?

"You do know my history, right? How would I know what it is?" he asked, causing them to make faces of realisation.

"Disney is a movie franchise. Animated films; most of them have songs in them." Annabeth explained.

"Films?"

"Right."

"So why are they so great?" he asked, still confused at their excitement.

"You mean you haven't seen one?" Jason asked. "Really?"

"Yes!"

"We're gonna have to watch one now then!" Percy exclaimed. "Hazel, you haven't watched any either, I'm guessing?"

"Right. I am looking forward to it."

"I guess I am.  The only films I know are the black and white ones."

"Me too." Hazel agreed with Nico.

"What do we watch then?" Percy asked, looking to the group for ideas.

"Hercules!" Leo called out.

Everyone immediately agreed and Annabeth went over to the TV to set up the film with Piper's help. They were in the Big House and Chiron allowed them the use of the living room for their recreation this evening. Nico had only just found out since he had come back from a small task who knows where.

"Technology is confusing." Nico said as he looked at the screen options and the remote and all of the wires. 

Hazel heard him and agreed, beginning to discuss with him how she used a phone called apple the other day.

"... and it was so small yet could do so much. It's as if there is a tiny person running around and doing things for you but Annabeth says it's in the air! I thought it was an apple like the food but I learned it was the brand name."

"I've used one once but it took a while since everything was really small. Did you know about wireless headphones too?"

"Oh, I've only heard about them from Frank, what are..."

Everyone cast smiling glances at the siblings as they discussed, amused at how intrigued they were at things they had taken for granted growing up. Thinking about it, in their era the most exciting things were probably giant phones and music boxes.

"It's ready." Piper announced, moving away to sit on the couch next to Jason.

Everyone sat down, ready to watch the film. Piper, Jason, Percy and Annabeth were on the largest sofa, Frank and Leo sat on the smaller one, and Nico, Hazel, Will and Reyna sat on the floor. The film began and a song began, drawn ladies on the screen singing along. Hazel spoke to Nico, saying they looked like her, and Nico agreed with a smile. Nico watched the animations with a mix of wonder and amusement. It was very good but the mythology was so wrong. When all of the gods and goddesses appeared on the screen he stifled a laugh at how ridiculous they looked. When Hades appeared he and Hazel exclaimed in shock, Nico laughing.

"He looks ridiculous." he commented, causing a slight rumble in the ground underneath him. The demigods looked on with small frowns but Nico just stomped once on the floor and spoke: "Calm down old man, they didn't get it too far off." causing another rumble and a round of laughter.

They continued to watch the film and he and Hazel talked between themselves, laughing madly at the scene where their father's head sets on fire. The others looked at them happily, glad they were enjoying themselves. The film ended and Nico and Hazel grumbled how their dad was the bad guy even though he is one of the most decent gods. But, overall, they enjoyed it.

"What do you think?" Will asked, turning to the boy next to him.

"It was good. I would watch another one."

"Cool. Wait, are you yawning?" Will asked.

"No?" Nico replied as he stifled another yawn.

"Where did you go today?" Percy asked as he chose another film since it was only around 8pm.

"Mexico. Not too far." he said with a shrug. "I like tacos." he added absentmindedly.

"What did you do there, if you can tell us?" asked Jason.

"Small stuff, not important." he said, accepting a drink off the tray Frank brought around.

"And when was the last time you slept?" Will asked, giving Nico his 'doctor face'.

"... Like three days ago?" Nico said, avoiding Will's gaze.

"Seriously!?"

Nico just shrugged and the two turned to look at the TV which now had a new film on.

"Frozen?" 

"Yeah, it's a Disney Princess film. The best in my opinion." Piper explained.

"No! Mulan!" argued Reyna.

"It has to be Moana!" Percy interrupted.

"No way, Cinderella! It's a classic." defended Jason.

"Come on guys, let's just watch it." Annabeth said as the voice of reason.

They all vowed to continue such debate another time and began to watch the film.

Again, Nico, and Hazel, were interested in the film. The animation was much more advanced, the songs were catchy, and Hazel liked the talking snowman.

"He is so cute!" she gushed to Nico who smiled at his sister's excitement.

"The animation is so cool." he said to her. "Literally." he added which made her giggle.

The film began to end as Elsa and Anna saved Arendale and Nico felt a little tired. In the last few minutes, certain all of the excitement was finished, Nico let out another yawn and lay his head onto Will's shoulder.

"Not a word, Solace." he said when Will opened his mouth.

Hazel was also feeling tired so lay her head on Nico's shoulder, her view slanted as she watched the ending.

"What did you think?" Percy asked.

"Good. I like Disney films." Nico said with his eyes still shut.

"Me too, they are amazing. I love the singing!" said Hazel.

"Yes, we have converted you. Mission successful!" cheered Leo and everyone joined in.

"One more?" Piper asked, looking at the sleepy children of the Underworld.

"Yeah, but keep it down." Nico agreed, opening one of his eyes to look at her.

"Yes!"

Piper flicked through their options and finally decided on The Princess and The Frog. It was good, and Hazel grew excited at Tiana and the hometown. She woke up to watch the film and found it was definitely her favourite. She wanted to find a frog, kiss it, and watch as it turned into a prince. But then she looked at Frank and found she didn't have to.

Nico, however, was tired and only listened to the film as he rested his eyes, commenting quietly here and there.

"She is so annoying." he said, vaguely gesturing to the blond girl on the screen who he could see with his eyes partly open.

"I agree." Will said in a quiet voice, brushing some fallen hairs from Nico's eyes; grinning when the son of Hades grumbled.

The time passed on and Nico enjoyed the songs and the storyline. As it grew to an end, the last words Nico heard before falling asleep were those of Prince Naveen:

"...Tiana, she is my evangeline."
