They say it's hard to love someone like you,
I guess I never thought that to be true.
But then you got up and left me,
That's what I get for fighting gravity.
You push, while I seem to always pull,
I never do what I'm told.
Now I'm standing in the doorway,
Waiting for you to come home.
I fight against the current,
But fate seems to be too strong,
I scream, "I was right,"
When the whole world proves me wrong.
Now I'm all alone in an empty room,
You're no longer within view.
My mind can't help but wonder,
If you're with another lover.
