"Whose he?" Roy said as I pushed Dusk into the room ahead of me.
"Don't ask." I said with a grumble, removing my helmet from my head and shaking out my sweaty hair.
"Well we're gonna ask." Dabria said, stepping out from a portal much to the idiot's surprise.
"Whoa, what?" He said. "Are you Phantom?" He knew Phantom but didn't know who I was? That's fucked up. She hasn't even been around in Gotham as long as I have. Dabria just shrugged at his question.
"Yeah, my names Dabria though. You can take the mask off kid. We don't give two shits around here. Unless you're like Batman and insist we keep our identities to ourselves." Dabria said, pointedly crossing her arms over her chest and slightly glaring at him. "We live in kind of close quarters so we'll eventually see you with it off anyways." Dabria said as I ran my hands through my hair.
"That's what I kept telling the fucking doofus but he won't listen." I said with a scoff.
"That's because you're an asshole." Dabria and Roy managed to say at the same time. I flipped both of them off and walked away from them. I needed a shower to clear my head. I can't believe I let Steph talk me into taking Dusk back here with me.
"Hood, come on. He's not a bad guy. I believe him."
"You're just saying that because he's cute." I said.
"Gross." She said. "The only thing I find cute is justice." She said with a stupid grin on her face as she raised her hand in a triumphant fist. I rolled my eyes at her. God she was as bad as Dick sometimes. They both have that lame sense of humor. "Come on Hood, at least if he's at your base you can keep track of him. He said he doesn't really have anywhere to go anyways. And hey, if he kicks your teams ass you can at least say 'I told you so'." She said and despite the fact that the lower half of her face was covered I knew she was smiling at me like a dork. So I grumbled out a response that was halfway between "fine" and "whatever".
As I stripped off my clothes in my room Artemis walked in without knocking and I glared at her. "Where are we putting the new kid?" She said.
"Bunk him with Roy. Maybe that'll get him to leave." I said.
