Chapter 3

4years later

Andrian pov

"Am so so proud of you" my mom said for the hundredth time today.
It was actually my graduation and I had a cum laude in business and management, from Harvard University.

"Thanks Mom" I smiled and she returned the smile.

"Me too son, I know you could do it" my dad said and I nodded. I was not interested in anything just to focus and come out with a good result and I did it.

"I can't wait to announce you as the the vice president of the company" my dad said and my mom gasped clearly excited.

"That's good news" my mom said and held my dad arm. For someone as old as there are, there were still so much in love with each other.

"Thanks Dad" I said and cut my steak in my plate. My mom literally prepared a feast for celebration, thats how she was, always finding a little opportunity to party.

"Well, this calls for a celebration, why don't we have a party to properly introduce you as the vice president of Anderson corps and holdings" she said excitedly and clasped her hands together.
Ofcourse party, I thought and rolled my eyes.

"Mom, I don't think that's necessary" I said and she shook her head disagreeing.

"No, it is necessary Andrian"  there is no wining with Mom.

"Yeah it is a great idea, we could also use the the opportunity to introduce your future engagement with Danny" my dad said and my mom shot him a glare as if reprimanded him for what he said.

"I don't think we should announce that soon" she said through gritted teeth as if telling him 'not now' but my obviously stubborn dad didn't got the memo.

"But I think it's only bes_" my dad said but I interrupted.

"No I understand, both announcing me as the new vice president and my engagement to Danny is fine" I pushed my plate as I lost my appetite.
My mom looked at me worriedly but I smiled at her reassuringly.

"Ok then" my dad said after the long uncomfortable silence.

"Uhmm, time for desert" my mom chirped in trying to relish the awkwardness but I stood up.

"I won't be staying for desert, I have plans with Vince" I half lied, I did have plans with Vince but I just don't wanted to be in the same room with my dad anymore before he says something that will piss me off more than he already did.

"Oh, okay then, will you be coming back or will you stay at your penthouse?"
My mom asked but i shook my head no, there is no way am coming back here, her face suddenly fell as she pouted which made her ten years younger.

I grinned and peaked her in the cheek
"I'll come around tomorrow mom"

"Okay goodnight"

"Goodnight mom, dad" I said and nodded to my dad.

"Goodnight son"

I headed to the where my car was parked and took my car keys to opened the door in annoyance. My dad always manage to annoy me, he wants everything to be done in his way.

My cellphone started ringing and I checked the caller ID it was Vince
"Heyy, Andrian where are you?, Don't tell me you change your mind?" he said immediately and I can hear the background music from here.

He was already in the club, I shook my head. Vince was always  the party type, and the player. I kind of was the party type before but not anymore.

"Am on my way" I said and started the car.

"Wait so your coming?" There was shock in his voice.

"Why are you surprised?" I asked smugly but I already know the answer. I haven't partyed for a while or any of those sort of things.
