Cami's pov
I groaned as my curtains were opened and the morning sun immediately flashed in my eyes.
"Rise and shine" I groaned again as I heard my mom's loud voice. Actually everything felt loud, even those annoying morning birds.
This was definitely the part I hate most, hangover.
My mom pulled my blanket from my body.
"Momm" I whined as I took it back to cover my head again."You have a lot explanation to do young lady, you came home totally drunk, good thing your dad wasn't home."
Jeez why was she shouting!
Everything was just so so loud.I sighed, yeah, good thing dad wasn't home, he was strict but also a cool dad. He went on a business trip a week ago and will be back today.
My dad was businessman, he owned several companies, they hoped for me to take over the company someday but that was not what I wanted, I am an interior designer. My mom was a surgeon, was, but she retired 2years ago, she too was happy and proud of her job, even when dad insisted she resigned but she insisted on working. She now have her company for interior designing just like me, she started it a year ago, I guess she didn't just want to stay idle. So in a while I will be working there with her since the business is blooming.
Last night was Chloe's fault, yesterday was her birthday and she insisted we go to the bar to celebrate instead of having a nice home party.
"Mom, I don't really know what happened, I guess" I sat down in my bed cross-legged and scratched my tangled hair. I don't need a mirror to tell that I look like a mess.
"Well I will let this pass but still watch the way you drink" I nodded, and she handed me a pain killer tablet and a glass of water.
I mumbled a thanks and swallowed it."Fix yourself, your dad will be back any minute and he said he has a surprise for you" she said and my face immediately lit up.
"Really mom, what is it?" I asked sitting upright, I couldn't contain my excitement. Gifts from dad are usually the best.
He promised me a car since I graduated.
Is it a car? I hope it's a new car."He didn't say anything" she replied and stood up from the bed.
"Get dressed, and seriously fix yourself" she said with a look of horror in her face. I rolled my eyes, I know I looked bad but my mom was so good at emphasising things.
She headed to the door and closed it loudly making me to wince.
I am so not drinking again. This time I mean it.I stood up, and gasped as I saw my reflection. Mom was definitely not exaggerating, I looked like a mess.
My mascara was all over my face and my red lipstick was smudged. And my eyeliner_
Geez, I look like I was coming from an Halloween party.I headed to the bathroom and washed my face.
I went back to my room and wanted to call Chloe and ask if she was in trouble because her annoying elder brother Leo was home. He was so overprotective of Chloe, not only him but her parents too. She's treated like a ten year old instead of the 22year old that she is. So anytime she had a little opportunity to be free, she misuses it.
I wouldn't blame her though.
Chloe has always been my only good friend, we met in first year of college during orientation and she helped me with some of the courses that I didn't understand because she was really smart, and we became best of friends since then.I searched and searched my room as I couldn't find my purse that I used to take to the bar last night.
Where on earth was it, I was sure I took it to the bar and my phone was inside. I remembered putting it inside when my battery died.
