I was 10 years old when I heard about MLP. I thought, what a baby show.
I went to school the next day to find out my exfriend, Kylie, was totally obsessed with it! What is wrong with her, I thought. What kind of 12 year old would watch such babyish things?!
I spent the next couple hours pondering Kylie's obsession. Maybe a little too long. I wanted to push the thoughts out of my mind, but they wouldn't budge!
Going to bed was a nightmare all on its own. Every time I closed my eyes, a picture of a purple pony with streaks of purple and pink in its mane and tail appeared. Grrrrr! I grumbled. I flicked on my bedside lamp and stood up. I strode over to my bookcase to choose something to read. I scanned the shelves until my eyes settled on a dark violet book. I reached over to pick it up, but something made me stop. My fingers were inches away from the cover when I pulled my hand back. I frowned as I noticed that book was not there before. I quietly snuck out to the kitchen and grabbed some salad tongs. When I got back to my room, I headed straight for the bookcase. With the tongs, I reached over and snagged the book. I slowly lowered the it to the floor, and set the tongs aside. I stared in shock as I realized the title was "The Journal of the Two Sisters". Kylie! I thought, that little pest must have told my parents to put it in my room! I decided to sing myself to sleep. I tried to think of a song to sing, but the only song I could conjure up was the my little pony theme song. I decided that singing was pointless. I stared at the ceiling and before long, my eyes were too heavy to stay open. I fell into a deep slumber filled with dreams that send me tossing and turning. When I awoke in the morning, my covers were on the floor, and my head was pounding.
