Chapter 9

Morning came in a flash, and I decided to help make breakfast. I put together a few sandwiches with lettuce, ham and cheese. Fluttershy helped to get the plates and cups for tea.
A knock sounded at the door. "Hellooooo!? Are you the-ere Sugar? We have a day full of generosity to get started! I have sooooo much planned!" Rarity's voice could be heard through the door.
I sighed. Is every morning going to be like this?!
After thanking fluttershy for the good time, I opened the door to see Rarity dressed in a bright pink dress covered in sequins. Her hat accented the dress beautifully, but when I talked to her, I had to avert my eyes.
"It's time to go! I have some supplies needed for my most favourite sport. SHOPPING! Squeal!" Rarity blabbered on the entire time it took to get to the stores. When she looked away to see which stores we should go into, I rubbed my ringing ears.
"We should go into the dress shop, the boutique, and... ooh! The flower shop is open! We can look in Quills and sofas, and for lunch Sugarcube Corner will be perfect! I can't wait til after. We will, explore the rest of the stores, and at the end of the day, the spa sounds remarkable! Don't you think so Sugar?"
"Yah, sure." I replied. My mind was elsewhere. What was going on at home? Were my parents ok? Do they know I'm gone? Are they even worried about me? What time is it there? Do they even care? Are any of them here with me? Is this even real?
Next thing I knew, we were in the flower shop. Rarity saw a little girl looking at some roses, and gave her a coin to get some. "Here you go, darling, I saw you looking at them, and I think a white one would look lovely in your mane." Rarity smiled, and the girl looked at her with wide eyes.
"Th-thank you, miss!" She stuttered, and took a few flowers and paid at the counter. I was curious. Rarity smiled at me, and I smiled back. We looked around more, and I followed her to the Quills and Sofas.

The water from the hot tub felt absolutely amazing on my sore hooves. We had just finished paying for someponys scarf they were going to buy, when Rarity declared that we had finished shopping for the day.
We only ended up getting a few pairs of shoes and a couple sweets from Sugarcube corner, yet all our money was spent. I was surprised at how much joy I got out of getting things for others.
I had a really fun day. Wow, this sound a lot like a letter. LETTER! OH RIGHT! I have to send my next letter to the princess.
I pick up paper with my currently dry fore hooves, and Rarity hands me a quill.

ear Princess Celestia,

Today, I spent the day going shopping. Can you guess who with? Yep! Rarity! I had a lot of fun, except my hooves felt sore after all that walking. Right now, we are relaxing at the spa.
In the flower shop, Rarity bought flowers for a young filly, and gave money for a bed to a man in Quills and Sofas. Guess what?! We spent more money on other ponies' stuff, than we did on ourselves! All we got were some shoes, and candies, which were worth, what, like $20.00?
Anyways, we started with like $150.00 and we finished with $10.00! That was $120.00 spent on other ponies! I think the place we were most generous was at sugar cube corner. A few colts were drooling over a cake, to we bought it for them. I happened to see a flash of pink, and sure enough pinkie pie popped up in front of us, and started begging us to get her "more of Mrs.Cake's special strawberry, eggplant, kiwi, lemon, pineapple, and banana bonanza, which is the best best bestest treat in the whole wide world" and that she would cry if we didn't. I think Rarity was extra generous today, because she gave Pinkie a lot more coins than she needed. Pinkies response was to hug both of us, hard enough to make us have to catch our breath, and zoomed off, to get in line, yelling "thank you"'s back at us.
When we had lunch, I saw Twilight on her way to Applejacks. She was going to help harvest the apples. I offered to come help, but Twilight said they were almost done anyway. Instead we went to the dress shop.
I got my mane done at the spa before we came to the hot tub, which is where I am now. I loved today, and I will make sure to be more generous in the future.

"Sister, you must stop worrying about her, she is learning fast, if the letters are accurate. If your worries take over your waking moments, they will slip into your dreams as well. Your nightmares are tough for me to stop, and energy consuming. Try to be calm please."

"I am sorry Luna, I will try. But right now I need to speak with you on a tough matter. There is a big decision to be made, and I am wondering how to solve this problem that has come about."

Luna looked at her sister accusingly. Celestia was in her chambers, on her bed. She had been having sleepless nights, and it got worse with each letter she got from Sugar Blossom. Whatever this matter was, it must be important. "I am all ears, Celie."

"I am worried about what to do when Sugar returns home. I don't really want her to remember this place, and tell all her classmates Equestria is real. That could start rumors, have more humans come here, and, she probably would be seen as a loser, and have no friends which is the opposite of what we want." Celestia sighed, "on the other hoof, we want her to remember what she learned here about friendship, so that when she goes home, she will have friends. I just don't know how we can have one without the other."

"Maybe you should ask Twilight, she is the Princess of Magic and Friendship. If any pony knew the answer, it would be she.""

"Thank you, Luna, you always know what to say."
