"Come in"

I slowly open the door and hold it for my sister, then entering the room myself.

The office was the same as it was a few months prior, a dark wooden table at the center of the room with two chairs placed in front of the table, bookshelves lining by the walls, it wasn't anything special, the only difference was the presence of the two unknown men in the room.

One of them was sitting on the chair, his back towards me- dressed in clad black suit. His presence screamed authority.

The other one was standing in the corner, arms crossed- sunglasses perched on his nose, he too was quite intimidating.

I turned my attention towards the principal as he started speaking

"Miss. Cohen's please take a seat"I motioned my twin to take the seat while I stood behind her chair, my hands squeezing her shoulders reassuringly.

"I'm sorry but" He paused, glancing at the two men in the room for a moment before clearing his throat. "But your parents" Pausing yet again, he heaved out a quite breath, sympathy covering his face. "Your parents have passed away"

I stared at him blankly, my eyes emotionless as ever. Did he just say that those monsters, aka my so call parents are dead? No. He couldn't have.

"I'm sorry, what?" I choked, grabbing a hold of the chair to keep myself from jumping up and down in pure joy.

While my reaction may seem quite inhumane, but so was the way they treated me- the harsh words, kicks, punches, whips- you name it.

"There was an accident; they ran over a red light crashing into a trailer. They were announced dead on the spot" It took everything in me to stop myself from grinning like an idiot.
