Sitting in the back seat of the car, I talk with Emilio- trying to get familiar with at least one of my brothers.
I look towards my twin to see her already staring at me, I raise my eyebrow at her at in question just for her to shake her head and turn towards the window.
I know she is listening to the conversation; earphones after all, are the oldest trick in the book.
If you still haven't gathered- she was not much of a social animal, ok that's an understatement.
Something happened, I don't know what -but that made her the way she is today.
It hurts, seeing my once bubbly and happy twin now all cold and broody and even more not knowing what had happened.
I know she is hiding things from me, and I have a feeling that those secrets aren't normal at all.
I was angry at first-knowing that she is hiding things from me- things that I have the right to know about, but over the period of time I have came to the conclusion that if she thinks it's safe she'll share them with me.
Whatever it is.
When the principal told us that we were basically orphans- I was scared, I didn't want to be separated from her, as childish as it sounds-she makes me feel safe, feel at home.
She is my support system- my constant star no matter how hard things get. She was always there for me and I for her, even when we were toddlers.
The car coming to halt breaks me out of my thoughts, I look outside the window to see we have already reached.
"Pack the necessary things, we can get the other stuff when we reach home" Emilio says giving me a gentle smile.
I open the door and step out of the car, turning towards my twin to see her already making her way towards the door.
After spending and hour to pack all the necessities, I drag my suitcases, one by one towards the stairs. I turn around to see Emilio carrying two of my suitcases down.
