J.k (puppy love)

About: You and your long term girlfriend, Jennie Kim, finally adopt a dog together after years of wanting one.

"Jendeuk! Are you ready to leave?" Y/N called Jennie from down the stairs. Y/N was finally buying her and Jennie a dog, but it was a present for Jennie, so she was clueless as to where she was about to be taken. Y/N heard her girlfriend run down the stairs and soon she appeared in view.

"Are you really not going to tell me where we are going?" Jennie asked, putting on her coat as it was winter and snow was falling.

"No, it's a surprise!" Y/N said, grabbing her keys from the stand whilst also grabbing her coat. Jennie smiled at Y/N skeptically as usually she didn't like surprises, and Y/N knew that, but she had a good feeling about this one.

They got in the car and Jennie grabbed the aux cable before Y/N could, laughing as her girlfriend scowled. They actually enjoyed each other's individual music tastes and their banter was one of the aspects of their relationship that made it so pure. Jennie put on a Dua Lipa song, one of her favorite artists, and they both sang loudly. The roads were icy, causing the journey to be longer than normal, but neither Jennie nor Y/N minded as they were enjoying each other's presence.

Y/N had been driving with Jennie for an hour now, and she still gave no indication as to where they were going.

"Are we there yet?" Jennie whined, beginning to get more and more curious.

"Right now," Y/N said, parking the car in a free parking space. "This is where you might find it strange, but you have to trust me," Y/N said.

"Okay, I trust you," Jennie grinned excitedly as Y/N handed her the blindfold, to which she took and tied round her eyes. She held her hand out for Y/N to take and lead the way. They intertwined their cold fingers, Jennie holding onto Y/N's arm tight for extra coordination. They walked through the streets, Jennie completely unaware of where they were going.

Y/N finally navigated the pet shop, and they went inside. Jennie heard the bell on the door ring as they entered, and the smell of animals filled her nose. She felt Y/N untying her blindfold from behind her, and then her eyes began to adjust to the light.

Jennie gasped as she realised where they were. Cages of birds and guinea pigs lined the walls and the middle aisle was full of pet food.

"Oh my god! The pet store!" Jennie exclaimed, her eyes gleaming.

"Miss Kim?" Jennie looked surprised as the store clerk approached her. Y/N had made sure the people in the store knew what Jennie looked like so the surprise would be even more mysterious.

"That's me!" Jennie smiled, her eyebrows still furrowed in confusion.

"Please, follow me,"

The clerk began to walk off, and Y/N nudged Jennie in the same direction as she still stood stationary. The couple followed the store clerk into a back room where they had around 20 dogs in different play pens. Jennie's mouth was open in glee as she looked around at all the dogs.

"Pick one," Y/N said. The store clerk closed the door and she unlocked the dog areas, so they were swarming the room, all leaping up at Y/N and Jennie. Jennie turned around, her gummy smile showing, as she looked at Y/N in disbelief.

"Really?"

"Yes, really! We've wanted one for years, so I finally saved some money without you knowing so now you can have whichever one you want,"

Jennie's eyes filled with tears as she became preoccupied with the dogs. She sat down as they all leaped up at her and licked at her face.

Jennie was playing with the dogs for hours as Y/N was walking around, petting all the dogs and talking to the store clerk about how to take care and train the dogs carefully.

"Baby, I've decided," Jennie's voice appeared from the other side of the room. Y/N turned to see Jennie holding a cute, little brown dog.

"Perfect. He's so cute!" Y/N grinned at her girlfriend, who seemed to already be sharing a bond with the cute puppy.

The store clerk took your money and you paid for a dog bed, lots of dog food, a dog cage and lots of toys. As Y/N's arms were spilling with the copious amount of gifts and necessities for the puppy, Jennie was happily walking with the dog in her arms. Y/N threw the things in the back of the car and got into the driver's seat.

"What are you going to call him?"

"I've decided on Kuma," Jennie kissed the top of Kuma's head gently.

"I like it," Y/N said, beginning the long journey home,

"I love you so much. This is the best gift I could have ever gotten in my whole life," Jennie said.

"I love you too princess, I'm glad we finally got a puppy," Y/N replied,
