"Yes," Jennie scowls. "Well, not really. Kind of. I guess, ugh - fuck."

Jisoo raises an eyebrow and plops herself down in front of her best friend. "Okay, spill."

Jennie groans and collapses against the side of the couch, an arm shielding her face from view. "She basically said what Lisa said about the attention thing-"

"Yes! See! I knew it! If-" Lisa falls silent when Jennie opens an eye and shoots her a dark glare.

"She said I needed to prove to her that I genuinely want to be her girlfriend and that I like her, not just her attention," Jennie grumbles, taking a swig of whatever Jisoo had just handed her. Her face scrunches up into a grimace. "And then she kissed me and left."

"She kissed you," Lisa repeats, sliding down the couch to sit beside her two best friends. Her eyes are wide and gleaming with mischievous delight as she slings an arm around Jennie's shoulder.

"Okay, that means she's still into you," Jisoo murmurs thoughtfully, spinning a pen in between her fingers. "You still have a chance then, despite shoving her against a locker and kissing her in front of the entire student population."

Lisa laughs. "I'll be honest, it was kinda hot."

"Rosé was like, one second away from kissing Y/N," Jennie defends herself. "I wasn't going to let that happen. And, thank you, Lisa."

"Are you sure that you weren't overreacting?" Jisoo raises an eyebrow and Jennie decidedly avoids her eyes. There is a chance, now that she'd thought about it-

No. Their noses had literally been touching.

"Just...whatever. What should I do to win her over?"

"Take her out on a date," Jisoo rolls her eyes, pulls the bottle out of Jennie's grip and chucks it over to Lisa.

"Yeah, but how?"

"Jennie, please don't tell me you don't know how to take someone out on a date," Lisa deadpans, a smirk tugging at the corner of her lip at the look on her friend's face as she takes a swig of the drink.

"It's not that I don't know how," Jennie throws a scowl at Lisa. "It's just, what if she doesn't go? What if she doesn't want to?"

"Drag her," Jisoo says and if Jennie didn't know better, she would've thought that her friend had been joking around. "I'm serious. Drag her."

"No!" Jennie glances at her friends disbelievingly. "What the hell?"

Lisa rolls her eyes. "Jennie, honestly. Even when you pushed her away, Y/N persisted. Surely you've learnt something from that? And besides, I don't think you have to worry about her not wanting to - she did ask you to prove that you like her, after all. If she refuses to go out on a date with you, she's probably just playing hard to get or something."

Jennie doesn't say anything. She reaches over and snatches the bottle from the younger girl's grasp, ignoring the sound of protest coming from the maknae's lips.

"You're too young. Let the older ones have more alcohol," Jennie states as she throws her head back and without any hesitation whatsoever, pours the remaining liquid into her mouth.

She ignores the cautionary glares from Jisoo and Lisa's whine of protest as she swallows and grimaces with a shake of her head. God, what's she going to do?

Jisoo pats her back sympathetically whilst smoothly tugging the now empty bottle out of her grip. "You'll figure it out, Jen," she says sweetly before smacking the back of Jennie's head. "But you didn't have to down the entire fucking bottle. It was my last. Have some respect, girl."
