It's a weekday, a humid and scorching Tuesday. You are having your day off from work as you have plans on going to surprise your good friends at the afternoon shoot for their upcoming comeback. But you especially want to surprise your girlfriend, Park Chaeyoung, who is also called Rosé to which she is more known for.
You had high hopes for this day, but right now? Not so much. The way it looks, your plans are failing miserably as you have decided to reside on the couch due to the sweltering weather with the fan turned on.
It is one of those days in August where the weather is just a pain in the ass, and you don't want to do anything but be at home with the fan cooling you off. However, you knew, somewhere in that big brain of yours that you need to go soon. Otherwise, you'd miss out on the girls' afternoon shoot and the surprise is no more. So, you have to go because what was the point of taking the day off?
With that being said, you slip down even further on the couch and get even more comfortable. That is until you hear your phone ringing inside your room and you groan aloud. What is it with the timing? You had just gotten comfortable on the couch. But you take it as a sign. It's a sign that you should go and do what you've planned to do ever since you woke up.
You practically throw yourself off the couch and paces inside the room to pick up the call.
"Hi," you drawl out with the way you answer the phone call.
"Hi, baby." Says no other than your dearest girlfriend.
You try and not to smile at her calling you 'baby', but in the end, you can't help it. The lip-tied smile reaches from ear to ear, and that's how the world knows how much of a fool you are for your girlfriend. Even though the two of you have dated for more than a year, you just can't seem to get used to the way she calls you 'baby'. What is wrong with you? It's a word, and a common one to say the least. Plus, it's normal in a relationship. So, what's with the foolish grin on your face that you can't get rid of?
"That's it? No baby back?" she continues whilst you fall down on the bed, face first. The same bed that you have shared too many nights on with Chaeyoung, that you have lost count. If you'd be honest, she pretty much lives at the apartment with you because she pays for the rent and food (you disliked her for that and you still do). Though, the only times she doesn't live with you is when it's nearing comeback or when she's with her family. Other than that, she lives with you.
"You know I can't say it without laughing."
"That's not what I remember."
"Whatcha mean?" you ask, slipping a hand through your hair and ruffle it.
"You're really making me say it, aren't you?" she laughs sweetly.
You raise your brows and stare forward, pondering what she is talking about. But you can't seem to connect with your brain and are left with a big question mark on your face.
"Ha?" Is all you can say.
"Baby, you don't remember?" her sudden English comes forward and so does her Australian accent which you can die for any day. But she promptly changes back to Korean. "All those times when we were having sex, you didn't seem to have issues with saying it."
"That's- that's different!" you shout, your eyes bulging out as you realize what she just uttered out. "Chaeyoung, are you even allowed to say that right now? Where are you? Please, refrain from talking about you know what when you're outside of this apartment. The last thing I want is for our conversation to leak out and then you getting bashed for it because you know those Dispatch assholes are everywhere. And I don't know, like... your fans starting to hate you-" You were rapidly speaking before Chaeyoung decided to cut you off.
