A day with Connor

Josh's POV

Ella's and I got out of the the car and I saw Karen walking over to us. "Grandma!" Ella said excidetly and hugged her. "Hi baby!" She smiled and I took her hand. "Daddy what's court?" She asked and is sighed. "Um well it's basically a thing where somone yelled you what will happen after a lot of arguing."then why did we dress up?" I chuckled and picked her up. "I'm it sure. That's just what people do." 

She smiled and I smiled back. We walked into the room and sat down. "Case 27, Ella Lawrence." Ella looked a little confused and I handed her my phone. I turned off the sound though. "So we're looking to change a custody agreement?" "Yes." Karen answered. "And we're is the mother?"

 I sighed. "That's the point, she left agian. She's always running off and making her mother and friends take care of Ella. Now I think that Ella needs better than that and me and her grandmother are wanting to change her custody rights." The judge smiled. "Well Josh, with how much you've taken care of Ella these past few weeks and how much you know and care about her I'm granting you custody of ella." 

My mouth dropped and I gasped. "Oh my God!" Me and Karen smiled. "Ella!" She looked up at us confused. "What?" I smiled and bent down. "You, me, Claudia and grandma are going to Kentucky!" She smiled and hugged me. "Does Kentucky have horses?" I chuckled. "Some parts do." Her eyes went big. "I wanna buy an horse and turn the into a unicorn!" She exclaimed and I laughed. "Let's go silly! We have to get ready!" 

She jumped up and took Karen's hand. She went running and I smiled. I saw the judge smiling at the sight before I left. Me and ella packed all her clothes, hair stuff, shoes, etc. "Daddy come on!" Ella yelled unpashently at the front door. I came downstairs with her stuff, Claudia came down with ours and Karen came down with her's. "Let's go get a horse!!!!!" She yelled and ran to th car. "Wait up silly!" Claudia yelled and ran after her. 

I love how great Claudia and Ella get along. We all got our stuff in the car and drove to the airport. "Are there fairy's in Kentucky?" Ella asked. "No." I replied and she pouted. "But your grandparents, uncels and cusions live there." She smiled agian. "Oh yeah! I get to meey them!" We got on the plane and people stared. Ella sat down and put in headphones. She turned on some tv show on Netflix and I got on my phone. 

When the plane landed Ella looked around with a smile. "Wow! It's beautiful here!" I smiled. "It is." We got in a car and got dropped off at my parents house. Karen went to her house tonight. Ella held Claudia's hand and I rang the doorbell. The door opend and coner saw us. "Josh! Claudia!" He hugged us and saw Ella. 

"Who's this?" He asked and bent down to Ella. "I'm Ella and I'm five! Daddy and Claudia said we're moving to Kentucky!" He looked at me. "That's here? Little Ella from the hospital?" I noded. "She's so big!" "Dude it's been five years she grew up! But to be fair, I hade the same reaction." He chuckled and let us inside. 

"Ok baby let's go upstairs and find your room!" Ella smiled and ran upstairs and I followed. I found an empty room and smiled. "Ok, so your going to have three bedrooms. One here, one at your other grandparents house and one at mine. Ok?" she nodded and smiled. "You'll probably stay here the most when I'm not here though." 

"Ok." "Now I'm going to the store so we can decorate your room and Claudia is coming with me so be good for your uncle." She nodded and I left the room. I hope she's good for him. 

Ella's POV

I walked down stairs and saw my uncle on the couch. I smiled and walked over. "Hi!" He smiled back. "hey." I sat down and there was an akward silence. "So I hear you can dance?" I noded and he chuckled. "Have you ever tried gymnastics?" I shook my head. "Well there's an open gym at the five star gymnastics and cheerleading gym. Wanna go?" 

I smiled. "Yeah!" I ran upstairs and changed into my dance clothes for outside of dance class. It was a lack sports bra thing for kids my age, matching shorts and sandles. "Im ready!" I yelled and ran downstairs. He grabbed my hand and we walked down the streets of Kentucky. When we got there my mouth dropped. 

I ran inside and conoot followed. "Isn't that jennifer Lawrence's daughter?" We heard people whisper. Uncle Connor sighed and I took off my shoes and he pulled my hair into a pony tail. We walked into the gym and I saw lots of kids with there parents. "Ok Ella what do you want to do?" I smiled. "This!" I ran to the trampoline's and got on one. 

I stared jumping and he laughed. "This is fun!" I exclaimed and he smiled. I got down and looked around. I saw lots of kids doing kartwheel's, I know how to do that, I learned in gym class. I smiled and did one. The another and another random another. I did a few and then a few round offs and a handstand. 

When I was done I got up and saw uncle Connor and many parents, teacher's, kids, and cochas staring at me with there mouth's dropped. "What?" "You said you didn't know gymnastics!" Uncle Connor told me. "Cause I don't. I leaned that stuff in gym class and have to do it at dance class or rectials." A woman walked over to me and bent down. 

"What's your name sweetie?" I smiled. "I'm Ella." She chuckled, "what's your whole name and how old are you?" "I'm five years old and my name's Ella's Lawrence-hutcherson." Her mouth dropped. "Your- your- your Jennifer Lawrence and Josh huturson's daughter?" I noded. "Well we're are your parents I'd like to talk to them." 

"My dad's at the store." She chuckled. "And where's your mother?" I didn't talk for a few. "I don't know." I replied and tears filled my eyes. "Ella, it's ok." I shook my head and Connor hugged me. "Hey Ella, it's ok. She'll come back eventually, she always does. Right?" I noded. "It's ok." The woman gasped. "I'm so sorry, I had no idea!"

"It's fine, what did you want to talk to her dad about?" She smiled. "Uh I wanted to see if she wanted to join the cheer team here." I smiled and looked at Connor. "Please?" He chuckled. "I think you dad will be ok with that." I smiled bigger and he chuckled. "Ok let's go." I noded and he sete down. "Oh wait!" 

We turned around the woman sighed. "Ok, here's a schedule of her cheer practice's and the times, she'll need all these bows and outfits and makeup." He sighed and noded. As we walked home we talked about cheer. "It looks like you have practice starting next Monday." I smiled. "Yayay!!!" I ran inside and saw daddy in the living room. "Daddy guess what!" He turned around and picked me up. "What?" 

"I'm a cheerleader now!" He laughed. "Really?" I noded. "I start practice Monday and I need all this stuff!" I handed him the list and his mouth dropped. "Well at least this is a great way to make new friends." I noded. "Well we decorated you room, go have a look!" I ran upstairs and opend my door. My mouth dropped. 

My room was beautiful! I played in my room for a few hours before dinner. Nana give ebuice cream and everyone started laughing. "What?" I asked confused and Claudia just stared at them. "Just a memory from when you mom was pregnant with you." I stared at them. "Well Jen and Josh came to visit and She had ice cream. She was getting it out and I stole it when she was looking. She stared chasing me around the house and backyard and ended up beating my ass with a pillow and dad ended up having to restrian her."

Me and Claudia started laughing after Connor told the story. "And them at your baby shower I was to scared to even looks at ice cream!" We laughed harder. That night was the first time I ever felt like I had a real family and nobody would ever leave me. I felt safe and sound.
