Chapter 4

Ryan P.O.V.
-Morning After-
I wake up with her head on my chest and I couldn't think of anything better. I felt her stirring so I give her a kiss and ask her if she wants breakfast "yes please I am starving, you wore me out" I chuckled and said "well that means I did my job right" I wink at her and go make some breakfast. I hear a knock on the door and go to open it and it's Rip, "Ask Y/N if she wants to help out today. So she isn't by herself when we're working" "let me make her breakfast and yeah"
I see her coming down the stairs with just my button up shirt; and good lord almighty I almost fainted by the way she looks. "Babe you want to help out with the work today?" "Sorry babe, I would but I'm actually going to to look at some office building so I can work here". "I though you said you were leaving?" I look at her very confused because I thought today was going to be her last day with me. "Well now I have something to stay here for" she winks at me while saying that.
After breakfast she leaves and I get ready for work, about at 7 o'clock I see Jimmy really mad and I wonder why. "He's dead!!! I paid them and they still killed him!!!! They are dead!!!".
3rd person P.O.V.
Rip pulls Jimmy aside and asked him what happened. "I owed them money, and now he's dead!!" "Who did you owe money, and why?" Rip asks Jimmy, "some guys from my past life and I owe them money because of the way I was" "I'm going to go kill them" "No you're not, I'm going to teach you how to get rid of problems without creating more problems" Jimmy nods and Rip pulls him into a hug.
Everybody is in the bunkhouse, the wranglers are eating dinner and Rip and Jimmy are getting ready to go take care of a problem. Ryan is looking like he wants to say something because he hasn't eaten yet. Ryan stands up and heads over to Rip. "Rip may I have a word?" "Now is not the time" Ryan stays quiet for a little bit and then says "I want to go with you" "no you don't" Rip walks away to get his cowboy hat. "I'm already in this so deep" Ryan tells him, rip walks up to Ryan "if you do this you have to go all the way" he says while patting his chest. Meaning he will have to get the brand. "I know" Ryan says with a serious look on his face. "Alright go get your coat." Jimmy looks confused on why Ryan would want to go, but then he remembers that he is a part of something and they have his back no matter what.
As they are walking out of the bunk house, Colby sees Ryan going with the branded men and he stands up and just calls his name "Ryan?" "Ryan??" Ryan just looks at him and walks out. He gave him an older brotherly look "saying don't come". As they get in the truck, Kasey says "he doesn't wear the brand" Ryan just looks at Rip. Rip then says "he will"
They get to the trailer of the two guys that killed Jimmy's grandfather, and they check the window and they are both asleep. They drill holes on the bottom of the trailer and connect the air tanks that they have. Jimmy goes into the trailer, he kicks the guy on the couch so he wakes up. "You don't get to sleep through this you motherfucker" he grabs the belt buckle that he won at the bull riding competition.
The guys gets up and starts walking towards Jimmy, "Jimmy get the hell out it's gonna blow!!!" Jimmy heard and he runs out of the trailer and barely gets off of the porch when the guy appears on the porch. He tries to shoot Jimmy but in that second the trailer blows.
They get back to the ranch, Rip and Lloyd take Ryan to the middle of the woods. They build a fire and put the brand in the fire so it heats up till it turns red. "Are you ready?" Lloyd asks Ryan. "Damn right" he replies. They gave him bourbon to drink before and a stick so he can bite it. The opens his shirt and Rip puts the brand on the left side of his torso.
Y/N just got back to the ranch and she sees Ryan. So she runs to him and jumps on him to give him a hug and he winces. "What's wrong?" "Nothing it's just my chest, it hurts a little bit, don't worry nothing happened" she goes to open his shirt and he grabs her wrists "you don't want to do that" she doesn't listen and open his shirt and she sees the brand. "Why the hell did you do that" "I had to, I wanted to" "I wanted to feel apart of something and not just a wrangler" Y/N pulls away from him and walks away to her truck. As she gets in the drivers side, Ryan is outside of the passenger door asking her to wait and open the door. But she didn't listen and drove away.
