Chapter 9

Ryan's P.O.V.

I've been noticing Jack staring at us very weirdly, and I feel even more protective of Y/N. I can't explain it but I have a feeling that he is up to something, I don't have any proof but I know it.  "Ryan?" "Hello?  are you there?" "What?" "I've been calling you, are you okay?" "Yeah sorry I was just thinking about something" I go to use the restroom but I notice that as soon as I pull away from Y/N Jack starts heading her way. My jealousy starts overpowering me and I don't want to embarrass Y/N because of everything we have been through, this is something I don't want to do. So I decide to head to the restroom even though it doesn't feel right.

Jack's P.O.V. 

I see Ryan leaving Y/N and I'm wondering if I should just do something right now or if I should wait to do something but I don't know who to do it to. Because I can hurt Ryan and or Y/N, WAIT!!!! NO!! I am not supposed to hurt her, I will never hurt her. But Ryan on the other hand, I can do so many things to hurt him. Maybe if I kidnap Y/N but hurt her I will have Ryan going crazy because he can't find her and then I will have him meet me somewhere and act like I want money in exchange for Y/N when in reality I only want her. I walk up to Y/N and I need to see if there is still a chance she wants me or at least likes me, "Hey Y/N, how are you doing today?" "Oh hey Jack, I'm actually doing amazing. How are you?" "I'm doing a lot better now than I'm talking to you. I'm going to be honest with you Y/N I've really missed you. I know I was an idiot but I promise I have changed. I'm not who I used to be." 

Y/N's P.O.V. 

"Look Jack I'm really happy now, yes we were together for a long time, 3 years is a long time, but that doesn't matter anymore, you cheated on me with my best friend!! How does someone come back from that? They don't, it's not something you can forgive so easily especially after you just deciding to leave for a month after I confronted you about it. If you were sincere and sorry about what you did then you wouldn't have fled, you would have stayed and we would have talked about it and maybe have resolved it and maybe I would have forgiven you and we would have stayed together. But that ended 1 year ago, I'm done. I'm happy with Ryan and nothing is going to change that. Do you understand?" "Yes I do, sorry I brought it up." By this point Jack was standing really close to me that if he moved an inch our faces would be touching, which I definitely do not want so I start stepping away but Jack notices and he wraps his hand around my waist and pulls me into a hug. I'm trying to pull away when I feel something sharp at my side when says. "You better hug me now or I'm going to hurt your cowboy over there, you only have one second to choose." I didn't want him to hurt Ryan so I hugged him back. "Okay! Okay! I'll hug you back."

Ryan's P.O.V.

As I'm coming out of the restroom I don't hear anything, all there is is silence and that utterly confuses me. But it could also mean that they are outside. But that wasn't the case, around the corner to the restroom the living room is right there. As I'm turning my sight becomes blurry in a matter of seconds because of what I see, I see Y/N and Jack hugging after she told me that she didn't feel anything towards him. No one knows this but one night I heard her saying his name and saying how much she hates him. So to see this just completely breaks not only my heart but me. I don't say anything to them I just start walking away, I had Jimmy pick up my truck because he needed it for something. So I don't have a mode of transportation to get away. I just start walking and walking, I'm about 10 minutes away from the house when a truck pulls up next to me and rolls down the window when I see that it is Y/N I ignore what she is trying to say to me. I keep walking away from the truck when Y/N stops me in my tracks. She had gotten out of her truck to walk up to me and stop me. I look away from her because I don't want her to see me cry.

Y/N P.O.V.

I hear feet shuffling while Jack hugged me and I turned to see Ryan walking away fast. I jerk away from Jack and start looking for Ryan when I hear Jack say, "If you dare look for him I swear to you, you will regret it." I completely ignored him because all I could think of was finding Ryan. I go outside and I don't see Ryan so I get in my truck and get out of the driveway so I can search for him. About five minutes of driving I see him walking along side a dirt road, I pull up next to him and roll down my window. "Ryan?" He turns to look at me but then he keeps walking. I put the truck next to the dirt road and I get out. I run towards him and I stop him from walking away, "Ryan?" He turns away from me, "Ryan please look at me" He still doesn't turn back around. I grab his face and turn him towards me, I hated what I saw, his eyes were red and puffy and his lip was quivering. I've never wanted to be the cause of him being sad ever. But here we are and I'm not going to stop trying to make this right especially after I tell him the truth, which hopefully he will believe. "Ryan, you need to listen to me, that wasn't what it looked like" "OH IT WASN'T? WERE YOU NOT JUST IN THERE HUGGING HIM!! AFTER YOU SPECIFICALLY TOLD ME THAT YOU DID HAVE ANY FEELINGS FOR HIM!! I didn't tell you but one night I heard you say his name while you were sleeping and I heard you say how much you hated him."  "Yes we were in a hug, but I didn't want to be near him , he came up to me saying how much he missed me and I told him that I was happy with you and I didn't want anything to do with him. Then I acknowledged the fact that we were close to each other. As soon as I saw the position we were in I started moving away from him but then he pulled me by the waist and started hugging me I didn't want to hug him so I was trying to pull away when I felt something sharp on my side and he said that if I don't hug him he was going to hurt you, and I couldn't have him hurt you, I just couldn't." "SON OF A BITCH!!! HE HAS SOME NERVE TO EVEN ATTEMPT THAT, I'm sorry about leaving I just, I don't know, it hurt me to see you with someone else, I couldn't face the fact that I'm going to lose you." "Ryan we have been through so much you and me, there ain't no way in hell you're losing me anytime soon not if I can help it." "but he did say something before I came looking for you." "What the hell did he say to you?" "He said if I go look for you that I was going to regret it, he swore it on my life." "Don't worry, I won't let anything happen to you, over my dead body." "Let's go to the ranch, I have a very important call to make on the way." "Who are you going to call?" "I'm going to call Rip and have him gather up Kasey, Lloyd, Jimmy so we can get rid of a problem without creating more problems." "Is like the way you helped Jimmy? And the reason you got the brand?" "yeah exactly that way, but maybe a different method." "Okay, whatever needs to be done so we aren't harmed." "Alright let me call him"

Rip's P.O.V.

I'm talking with John about some new jobs we might have to give the wranglers when I start receiving a call from Ryan. It surprised me and John because Ryan doesn't call unless it's an emergency. I ask John if I could have a few minutes and he said "Of course, if you guys need any help let me know" "Will do" I answer the phone and ask Ryan what happened. He said Y/N's ex is bank in town and that he had made her hug him while he held a knife to her side so he can see that she wasn't over him, and that he threatened her if she went after him. I've never been so god damn mad at somebody like who in the hell does this guy think he is. I told Ryan I would gather up the guys and that he shouldn't come incase he isn't at home and so Y/N isn't by herself. Took him a while to agree but he finally did and that made me smile because I know he is whipped.

I gathered up the guys had a plan on how we were going to take care of our little problem. As we get to the guys house I send Kasey and Jimmy to go through the back one on each side and me and Lloyd got the front. Then we noticed that nobody was home and we saw that this guy had a bunch of pictures of Y/N and Ryan, the pictures were either of them together or alone. He had a room full of weapons but I noticed that on the wall he had a handgun missing. I alerted the guys that he probably went to their house, I called Ryan but he didn't answer and that really worried me. So I decided to call Y/N thank god she answered, I asked her where Ryan was and she said they someone rang the doorbell and he went to go answer it but that they weren't expecting company so Ryan had his gun on him.

Ryan's P.O.V.

Me and Y/N hear the doorbell and she got really scared because we weren't expecting company, I figured it would be Rip to let us know that they took care of Jack, but just incase I had my gun on me. As soon as I opened the door my face met a gun, "If you even move an inch I will shoot you where you stand boy" "Now you will die tonight but I'll let you choose where that is going to be" "Now c'mon we ain't got all day" I nod and yell inside "Y/N I'll be right back I just have to go to the train station real quick." Hoping she got the message I gave Jack the coordinates on where that "Train Station is"
