3rd POV

Today, Percy would launch his first attack, as a show of strength against the gods. A show of defiance against what he used to stand for. This could go badly, or could go as planned.

Destroy the heroes. The gods are weakened. Today, Perseus Jackson would show that he would not make empty threats.

Hazel PoV

Second chances. A thing everyone throws away. You'd think that I wouldn't do that. But no. I did, costing me a friend. A cousin. A brother.

I knew that Percy had gone to the place of no return. Evil. I watched the sun set over the shore. I Percy died in this war, I would feel immeasurable guilt. I heard the conch sound three times. The attack.

3rd PoV

As Percy marched on, he knew he could never return to the place he once called home. Guilt would destroy him inside out. He would go insane. He knew they made a mistake. Mistakes are forgivable. Once.

The conch horn sounded three times. They had spotted his army.

Percy PoV

I marched with Tartarus's army toward Camp Half-Blood. I decided it was time. Time to force the Romans and Greeks to surrender.

"Take out the prisoners." I watched Reyna and Annabeth be dragged out of the cart thing. Here were our...how should I put this...bargaining chips.

I marched toward the border of Camp Half-Blood with my monsters. I pushed the two to their knees. Until something happened

Hazel PoV

I watched my former cousin march up the hill. We launched our missiles. We let out a battle cry. Percy let out a look of surprise, then anger. He launched himself toward our leader, Jason. I launched myself toward him, and luckily hit him, or I'd be a ball tumbling down the hill. Percy snarled.

"Roman blood, eh?" The campers and monsters stopped. "You both are a disgrace. This is an unfair battle, after all. A 2v1."

I sneered. "Percy, Percy. You are a disgrace. Joining Tartarus's army, you are a scum."

I watched as Percy's face hardened. He lunged at me, and grazed my calf. I collapsed.

"First blood in the third war." He brought his sword down, but was intercepted by Jason. "Son of the sky...A pleasure to fight a being like you." Percy taunted.

Jason PoV

Percy was just so quick. He put Hazel down in a matter of seconds. I watched as Percy was about to bring his sword down on Hazel. I quickly intercepted him. He pulled out a weapon I'd only seen him use once. A shield. He blocked all of my attacks, and he smiled.

"After all, Jason, would you attack if the person that mattered the most to you was..."

I knew the words.

"...taken?"

I watched as Thalia was pushed to the ground at swordpoint (how). And Jason flinched. He knew that the three would die if he further attacked. I called a retreat and some people manage to free the hostages.
