Chapt. 20

Percy PoV

What have you done. You made a horrible mistake. I remembered Annabeth's look of betrayal on her face when I told her that I was now on Tartarus's side. This war is your fault. This is all your fault. This voice drove me insane and I fled from Tartarus.

Annabeth PoV

I watched as an I.M. appear in front of me, and Percy's face appeared. I angrily swiped my hand through the mist, making the connection disappear. I sobbed tears. He was the one to betray me. He did not deserve my help. Little did I know that somebody watched the whole scene.

I went to the woods.

Tartarus PoV

I watched as the army advance on the petty camp. Today was the day I destroyed my only threat. Pete-I mean Perry Johan-I mean Perseus Jackson by destroying Annie Bell Face- I mean Annabelle Ace- I mean Annabeth Chase.

I watched as a cyclops stabbed Annabeth during her stroll in the woods. Perfect.

Annabeth PoV

Pain...

Pain..

I'm in so much pain.

I felt myself be picked up by strong arms and put in a somewhat comfy position.

Percy PoV

Why.

Was.

I.

Doing.

This.

After all, she did backstab me in the end. Why was I saving her from death?

I was too loyal for my own good.

Percy: Goes to the options menu.

What are you doing?

Percy: Nothing.

Percy: sets settings narrator always on

Percy is so lazy.

Percy: Oh shi-

You guess it, its 3rd PoV.

Annabeth woke to some ambrosia, berries, and a tired Percy. She instantly was on edge. Percy woke. Yayy...

"What are you doing? Why are you here?"

Annabeth remembered as yesterdays events crashed down. She was stabbed.

She stuttered. "Th-thank you P-Percy."

"No probs." He said almost too casually.

"What are you doing here?"

"I'm contemplating whether I should help Camp. After the second betrayal, I'm quite shattered.

"I won't be welcomed, after all. Why would I return?"

Annabeth PoV

After Percy said that, I broke down. I sobbed tears. Percy's expression faltered, and he picked me up and hesitantly wrapped me in a hug. I sobbed into his shirt, yet he didn't mind it was getting wet and plaster-y. He cared about me. I was truly surprised.

He didn't ditch me after all, I wondered after he was gone.
