Meeting West

[Reverse's POV]

Of course, it was a a normal day.

Supposed to be a normal day.

I arrived at school, went to my locker, got called a name here or there, whatever. But when I arrived at homeroom, I saw someone new.

He honestly looked pretty weird, to be exact. Kind of like a child, even though this is high school.

He was small, and he wore a baby blue turtleneck sweater with black uniform shorts and dress shoes with the ankle socks. Y'know, those socks that go up to your ankle? He looked  prety normal, except for the fact that his face was bandaged all around his head, with two holes cut out for him to see.

Weird, right?

When everyone got settled down in their seats, theteacher introduced the weird looking boy.

"Class, today as you can see, we have a new student! His name is West. He has Willams Syndrom, so be nice to him! "

"What's Williams syndrom? Does that mean he's retarded?" One of those popular mean kids said.

Some kids started to snicker. If i forgot to mention, the kids here can be mean. Why do you think I perfer to be alone? Because of that reason there.

"Ok, stop that," The teacher said. " williams Snydrom is hard to explain, umm.. Oh! Just think of it like he has no stranger danger awareness. How do I explain this? He's just really friendly, I guess. "

"Soo he's stupid?" 

The kids started to laugh. Of course. I wish Charlie was here. He's the only good kid here.

"Ok kids, settle down! Doo you want the principal in here? Ok, so I'll need someone to show him around. How about... Reverse! You're always by yourself." Thhe teacher said.

Great, now I'm gonna get teased for sure. But it's not like i care, it's always been like that. I see West walking towards to back of the class, where i sit, and he takes a seat next to me.

"Hi! Im West! What's your name?" He asks.

" Uh.. You can call me Reverse. It's what everyone calls me. " I respond. What parents name their kid reverse? Mine.

"Ok! I hope we can be friends!" West replies.

i honestly don't know what's wrong with him, he seems pretty normal besides his childish aura.

i make it through 3 of my periods with West tagging along. He's super nice, too. Which is ... Nice, actually. Before i know it, the bell rings and it's free period. I lead West to the library, where i show him a good spot to read.

"Well, im gonna go use the bathroom real quick. Stay here, ill be back." I tell West.

" Ok! See you later Reverse! " West says.

After drying off my hands using the air dryer, (My school is pro trees) i head towards to library. Here's where i find the bullys speaking to an oblivious West, who's taking all their insults as compliments.

"So, can we just call you retarded then?" The bigger one asks, taking advantage of West 's problem.

"Sure! You can call me anything you like!" West replys enthusiastically.

"So, could we even call you-"

"HEY! what're you guys doing to him?" I ask, even though I already know the answer.

" We  where just meeting your new 'boyfriend', Reverse. " the smaller bully says with annoyance in his voice.

"Im not his boyfriend. Also, leave him alone. You can't just take advantage of him like that, idiots." I say in frustration. Who did they think they were? 

"No, your little 'friend' wants us to stay. Isnt that right, West?" The bigger one asks. 

"Sure, you can stay as long as you'd like!" West obliviously replies.

" No. No, West, you don't want to be here with them. Come on, lets go before they end up doing something stupid. " I tell West, grabbing his hand and pulling him up from where he was sitting.

"Oh, you jealous your boyfriend is talking to us?" The smaller bully replies, knowing what he said would piss me off.

" God, why dont you leave me alone! Your being an ass, not just to me, but to West, and he doesnt even know it! " I angrily reply, feeling my blood boil.

"Just because your ugly sister was liked doesnt mean we have to stop, a#s wipe." Thhe bully said, knowing well that the mention of my sister would get a reaction out of me.

And it did. 

next thing i know, im in the principal's office sitting with the bully, West, and a teacher.
