[West's POV]

Finally putting the last item into my backpack, i hoisted it onto my already sore back. I walked out into the living room, passing my dad watching tv.

"Im leaving now, dad."

" Ok. I dont care how late you come home. Maybe just never come back. " He muttered the last part to himself, but I still heard it. But i didnt care. I was too exciting to see Rev again!

I walked down the street with a bounce in my step and a feeling i havent felt in a long time. I cant even put my finger on it, but it feels good. I pulled out my phone to find the right place to go. It was a neighbourhood i havent been to, of course. But that just made it even more exciting. I wonder what Rev's family is like?

Finally turning onto Jackson St., I pass by beautiful (and alike) homes. I look up at the white one with chocolately brown shutters and walk up to the door. I feel a tingle of nervousness while knocking on the door. I hear loud footsteps then the door opens.

"Hi West! Come in!" Reverse says with a hint of childlike happiness in his voice. I follow to into the first room of the house, which seems to be a living room. I see an older man (probably Rev's dad) sitting at the couch.

"Dad, this is the kid i've been telling you about. His name's West." Rev says to his dad. He looks over at us and stands up. He holds out his hand for me to shake.

"Hello West!" His dad says. Reverse leads me to a dining room and motions for me to sit, so i do.

"So, how're you doing?" Reverse says, starting the conversation. After a while of talking he asks if i wanna go up to his room. I say yes and he leads me to a new hallway south of the dining room. I follow him upstairs and we finally make it to his room.

" Whoa, its so cool! " I tell him, looking around at the magenta and grey colored room. "You really like the color purple, huh?" I ask playfully.

" Yea, it was my sister's favorite color" Reverse says laughing lightly, which sends chill down my spine.

"Ok, so..." And we end up talking for a while more till he mentions something weird he say at school .

"Remember Thursday?" I nod to him. " Well, theres an Asylum not far from the school. Annd guess what? I saw some kid in one of the windows! " Reverse tells me. But i thought that was abandoned?

"Whoa, thats definitely weird. What do you think was happening?" I ask him, genuinely intrigued. He shrugged, getting up from his spot on the bed and looking out the window towards the Asylum. Reverse didnt live far from school, so he could see the asylum clearly. I get up and stand next to him trying to see if i can spot the kid too.

"I was thinking of checking it out after dinner. If you wanna go, we can." Reverse says a bit awkwardly. Thhinking about it, the adventurous side of me outnumbered my anxious mind.

" Sure! " I say with a huge smile on my face.

"Synu, večeře bude brzy hotová!" I heard his father yell.

"Ok Otec!" Reverse yelled back in response. I wonder what language that is? Rev never told me he knew that!

" Whoa, what language is that? I didnt even know you knew something like that! " I say excitedly. Reverse blushes a little, scratching his head.

"My parents moved here from the Czech Republic. I was also born in the Czech Republic. English is my second language, and i moved here when i was ten." He said, looking a bit embarrassed .

"That is so cool! You should teach me some of it!" I say. "Ooooh, so thats why your voice sounds like that? Its an accent?" How was i so oblivous. He smiles at me and nods. For a person who dressed in a dark style, his smile sure was pretty. WAit, what? Pretty?

"Thats why people bully me. Cause i wasnt american like them." He says, a bit sad. I rub circles into his back to make him feel better.

"We should get downstairs, my dad is waiting for us." Reverse says. I blush and manage an ok while he grabs my hand and leads me downstairs.
