Chapter 22: Think of him

In just a span of a year, Taehyung lost 25 kilograms of his 117 kg weight. Not because he was insecure about his weight, but because it was of his health complication. His doctor recommended he go dieting and exercise to refresh his mind. His weight is now 92 kilograms and his goal is 50–60 kilograms.

He also does monthly therapy to help him with his mental health and as of now, he is doing an impressive job. He continues his studies at Stanford University since he got a scholarship there.

And only one year left before his graduation. He makes sure to do his best to be able to give his mother the best gift.

“Taehyung, son, have a snack break.”

His mother, Tana went inside his room while he is studying. He looked up at his mother and smiled.

“Thank you, mom.” He responded and ate the cookies Tana baked for him.

“How are your studies? Are you doing alright?” Tana asked, sitting beside him.

“Hm, yeah, just preparing for my quizzes.” Taehyung replied while typing on his laptop.

“You've been studying quite a while now, aren't you tired?” Tana inquired with a hint of concern in her tone.

“A little bit, I need to finish my reviews first before I go to sleep.” Taehyung told her.

“You should take care of yourself well. I know that you need to study, but you still have to take a rest.” Tana said.

“I know, mom, don't worry, I'm fine. I will finish the last page, and I am going to sleep after this.” Taehyung assured her.

“Good, I'll go and sleep too. Good night, bear.” Tana stood up and pecked the top of Taehyung's head.

“Good night too, mom.”  Taehyung uttered watching his mom leave his room.

He sighed and shook his head before proceeding to go back to his work. After the incident, Taehyung doesn't have any idea about his bullies and University officials. He just heard that his mother filed a case against them and won. He didn't even know what Jungkook did to him due to his lack of concern about it.

Likewise, he doesn't have any intention to know or search about his case because he would rather not remember those traumatic experiences. It kept haunting him when he gets stressed, and that's why he tried to avoid knowing about what happened to those bullies.

He still hates Jungkook until now because he blames him for what happened to him. He is not ready to forgive him after all, Jungkook is the reason that the incident happened.

If Jungkook just listened to him, he won't experience that traumatic incident. He should have avoided Jungkook. He wishes he won't ever see him again. Furthermore, he will punch him right in the face if he sees Jungkook.

With a shake of his head, he disregards his thoughts and proceeds to finish his studies before he goes to bed. He shouldn't think of Jungkook, not anymore.

Meanwhile

The update about Jungkook, he studies at Seoul University after a month after the incident. His dad's company declined its increase in their sales. The controversies also hit the company so hard that it makes drastically loss.

Apart from that, Jungkook attempted to go on a date but as usual, it ended up not working. He admits it was his fault, he's the one making his own date not to work to simply not show any interest in them.

He sighed before going inside the dorm where he's currently staying with Jimin. They both went to the same University, they are friends, so it's no news that they are okay living together.

“How's your date?” Jimin asked him before he threw himself on the double-deck bed.

He is resting on the bottom deck while Jimin is on top. He went on a date with a girl. Jungkook will admit that she's beautiful, decent, and looks kind. She seems to be unique as well. But something was off to her based on Jungkook's view. Besides, she's far from his type.

“Didn't work” He simply replied with a sigh.

“Maybe you should stop turning them down.” Jimin retorted in mockery.

“How can I not do that if I can't see any comparison of them to Taehyung?” Jungkook stated.

“Stop comparing them to Taehyung, not everyone will be Taehyung.” Jimin told him.

“I know, but none of them is better than Taehyung.” Jungkook reason.

“Seriously? What's your reason? How can you move on if you want someone who looks like Taehyung? Let's be honest here, Jungkook, you want Taehyung, and he's the one you wanted to date.” Jimin stated.

“It's not like that, at least give me someone that can be better than Taehyung.” Jungkook explained.

“How do you want me to find a date for you that is better than Taehyung if in your brain he's the best person? Are you mad?” Jimin argued.

“You know what, Hyung? You should shut your mouth instead of arguing with me. I just want to take a rest, okay?” Jungkook sighed and turned around to face the wall.

“You're so unbelievable, right, that position is best for you. Talk to the wall instead.” Jimin mocked and continued to read the book he was reading earlier.

“Good night, Hyung, sleep well.” Jungkook giggled.

"Fuck you” Jimin grumbled and threw the book on him.

Jungkook just laughs it out, knowing that the older boy won't stay mad at him. He knew Jimin will get upset, but surely won't be able to resist him. He simply ignores the fact that Jimin had hit him with the book. It's nothing for him.

While looking at the wall, he suddenly remembers Taehyung. He wonders what's Taehyung doing right now. Is he okay? Did he recover well from that incident?

Is Taehyung in a relationship?

Just thinking of that already hurt his heart for some unbeknownst reason. He shouldn't think of Taehyung at all.

His goal is to forget him, not to remember him.
