Chapter 25: See him

Taehyung is a bit busy today, he's preparing for an upcoming event next week about a charity that he is a part of. While choosing an outfit for the event, his phone suddenly rang. He took the phone to the top of his desk and answers it without looking at the caller ID.

“Hello, this is Kim Taehyung, how can I help you?” Taehyung started while flipping the sketchbook of the outfit of his choice.

“Taehyung, it's me, Hoseok, are you busy?” Hoseok responded.

“Kind of, why?” Taehyung replied by asking.

“Do you have spare time later for your blind date?” Hoseok inquired.

“Blind date?” Taehyung uttered.

“Yeah, you agreed to have a blind date with a friend of mine, remember?” Hoseok said.

“Yeah, I remember,” Taehyung muttered.

“Well, he's free today and also agreed to date you. Do you think you can meet him up later?” Hoseok stated.

“What time is it? I want to check if I don't have a schedule during that time.” Taehyung asked, taking his schedule from his drawer.

“7 pm, so are you free?” Hoseok replied.

“Yes, I think I can.” Taehyung retorted.

“That's good, I already booked a restaurant for your blind date. I will send you the address and make sure to call me once you arrive there, so I can tell you who's your date later.” Hoseok giggled.

“Okay, noted, Hyung.” Taehyung sighed.

“Alright, have fun with your date. See you later.” Hoseok said with obvious excitement in his tone.

“Hm, see you later, bye.”

Taehyung ended the call and began to go back to his work.

It's already 7:27 pm and Taehyung already arrived at the restaurant that Hoseok told him. He contacted Hoseok while going out of his car and started to walk inside the restaurant.

“Are you inside now, Taehyung?” Hoseok asked through the phone.

“Yeah, I'm already here, and I think I can see him.” Taehyung replied.

“Make sure that person is…"

When the restaurant's entrance bell rang, the man that Taehyung referring to looked at him. And Taehyung froze in his place after realizing who it was.

“Jeon Jungkook, that's him, your date.”

Of all the people, why does it have to be him? Why Jungkook?

He's the person he was trying to avoid, and seeing him right in front of him makes him annoyed.

“Taehyung” Jungkook spoke out.

Jungkook is looking at him with disbelief and a surprised look.

“Is that you?”

Jungkook stood up and walk near him, but Taehyung move backward away from him and Jungkook knew that Taehyung doesn't want him to approach him.

“I think this is a misunderstanding, I should go now.” Taehyung said and was about to leave, but Jungkook held his wrist to stop him from leaving.

“Wait, please don't leave, let's talk.” Jungkook attempted to speak with him.

Taehyung yanked Jungkook's hand from his wrist and glared at him.

“Talk? There's nothing to talk about. I'm sure you planned this, didn't you?” Taehyung replied with a cold demeanor.

“No, I don't have any idea that you are my date. Trust me.” Jungkook retorted.

“Trust you? Why would I trust you? You are the reason my life is messed up!” Taehyung shot back.

“I'm so sorry, but trust me, I don't know that you came back. Hoseok Hyung didn't tell me anything about you. Trust me, I'm not lying to you.” Jungkook tried to apologize to him.

“Sorry? Since when did you know how to apologize? Do you think I will trust you just because you apologized to me? After what you have done to me and my life! Do you really think I will forgive you easily, hah?!? Taehyung grumbled.

Fortunately, there are no people inside the restaurant except for them and the staff who went inside the room to give them private space.

“I know that you won't forgive me easily, but Taehyung, I apologize for what I did to you. I'm sincere with my apologies to you. I learned from my mistakes, and I'm trying to be a better person now.” Jungkook stated genuinely.

“Better person? You should have done that before! Because of you, I experience near death! Just because of your stupid acts, I got involved with you! That wouldn't happen at all if you listen to me! You should've avoided me!” Taehyung growled.

“I don't know that she would do that, if you just tell me that she threatened you before, I should've stopped her. But I don't know anything, Taehyung. I admit that it's my fault why your life is messed up, but please don't blame me for something that I don't have any idea about.” Jungkook explained to Taehyung.

“Stop her? Hah, what a lie, I'm sure you will enjoy watching her doing that to me. That's all you know, make fun of people who you think are lower than you! You're the one who started it and everyone followed you! You can stop them if you want to, but no, you didn't do that because you are enjoying seeing me suffering!” Taehyung argued.

“That's not true, Taehyung, you know that. I didn't hurt you physically, I don't even know that they were bullying you. I have no idea at all.” Jungkook defended himself.

“It's because you are stupid! Arrogant rude narcissistic asshole! You only care about yourself and your pride! You don't care, even if you stepped on people just to find your satisfaction! Not only that, but you ruined my life! Because of you, I live in hell, just because of you." Taehyung shot back with anger laced in his tone.

“What do you want me to do so you can forgive me, Taehyung? I am willing to do anything for you to forgive me.” Jungkook asked with tears falling from his eyes.

“Don't ever expect that I will forgive you, Jungkook. Even if you cry with blood, I won't accept your apology. You are the worst person I've ever seen, I wish you suffer, so you would understand how it feels being bullied.”

Taehyung walked away from the restaurant while Jungkook's tears kept falling from his eyes.
