Corey's POV

The gig was coming up soon and we had a new great song written by Lauren. Funny now that she matters to me I end up caring so much more. Since I didn't used to care i never realized how good her lyrics are or perfect her guitar parts fit together. No we aren't together but I still like her. Laney's POV

It was time for us to play our song. Honestly this was almost "the Lauren show" she wrote it with... Ugh.... Corey. And told us what to play. What part of he's mine doesn't she understand? Maybe the world used to be hers but someone needs to remind her to share the spotlight. Don't remind me that she is a self centered little rat. Oh yeah and the song is all about her.
"Ready guys?" Corey asked as we walked on stage.
"No biggie," i said. Lauren as prepily as always, walked on stage last to draw attention to herself. She looked at Corey like someone just told her they liked her shirt.
"Count us in Kon!" She giggled. All through the song i couldn't stop thinking. I mean I thought Corey was our lead. Getting him on her side was an amazing move. Sad to say this band is under new management. Only I don't know how much of miss preppy prom queen running our band I can take. Though things weren't as good with out her for the band but my social life liked it better without her. Before I knew it the song was over and we had walked off stage.
"I thought we were a band," i sighed.
"We aren't really all on the same page," kin shrugged. I glanced over at where Corey was standing behind Lauren watching her beg the stage director for the next song. She gave Corey a hug (Ugh how could she) and trotted on stage. Corey followed her and stood right next to her at the second mic stand.
"Woah aren't you forgetting a few things?" I called after them putting my hands on my hips.
"Oh sorry I should have told you me and Core are doing our duet." She said to me and then completely turned away. "little rat" I thought, "that was my duet!" Kin's invention was right. My relationship with Core was over. The chances of our relationship be comeing more than bandmates was down pretty low.
